A CANDID 2-star: “Do not stay here. When we arrived, I had to ask for help with my bags. No one greeted us and took our luggage. The guy who finally came to get bags grabbed my suitcase so hard, the handle came off.” Best for Park-Hyatt-brand luxury travelers wanting an indoor pool (open until 10pm) and Park-Hyatt breakfast — accept the 2-star arrival-service caveat.
What Guests Are Saying
“We recently stayed at the Park Hyatt with our family and had a truly memorable experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, which gave us extra space and made our stay even more comfortable. The room was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed, offering a great mix of comfort and elegance. The location was ideal, close to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches for families, which made traveling with kids so much easier. Dining options on-site were excellent, with fresh, well-prepared meals and great service throughout. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we’d happily return on our next visit. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable, upscale stay.” — JeongH K., 5 stars
“Great location on a quiet street. The staff were friendly and professional. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was a pleasant surprise. The quality of the room was excellent with plush robes and comfortable bed. Only minor issue was that the shower temperature never got as hot as I would have liked. Room service exceeded our expectations as we found the food was over the top good! Even though it was a short stay - we had positive vibes about this hotel and would return in an instant.” — Emery N., 5 stars
“Excellent hotel with a very central location, and everything was extremely clean. The rooms are very spacious and modern, the beds are very comfortable, and the indoor pool, which is open until 10 pm, was the perfect finishing touch to our stay. What guests are saying about Park Hyatt Washington DC.
"Another great stay with Park Hyatt. The service quality here is great across the board. They kindly upgraded me to a junior suite that was both spacious and very well-appointed. It is in a quiet, residential-feeling area. It's very peaceful, though you'll likely need a car or Uber to get to the main attractions. We ate at Blue Duck Tavern. Even though it’s no longer Michelin-starred, the food and service are still fantastic. Overall, it's a great choice for a high-end, comfortable personal or business trip."

Also the location is perfect, close to Georgetown and many other amazing restaurants amd attractions in the city. You can walk pretty much anywhere interesting in the city from there or take public transportation. They have a very good gym that is well equipped and a nice pool and hot tub next to it. The rooms have been updated and the Spanish style shower with the modern bathtub next to it was amazing to experience."

Before we even arrived, communications with the General Manager were excellent as well as soon after check-in to ensure everything met our needs. This level of personal attention from leadership was truly remarkable and set the tone for an outstanding experience. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by a beautiful welcome amenity that included some thoughtful extra touches beyond what was expected. We were also treated to a spectacular room upgrade that we deeply appreciated. The elegant accommodations featured luxurious robes and bath salts for the soaking tub—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. Breakfast at Blue Duck Tavern was a definite highlight. The morning staff were incredibly pleasant and personable, even accommodating a special dish request that turned out to be delicious. The grits are some of the best I've had—don't miss them on the buffet! The loose leaf tea selection was superb and clearly high quality. Every detail of the breakfast experience reflected genuine care and attention. The pool and hot tub provided a relaxing retreat, though those accustomed to Park Hyatt properties may note the absence of a steam room or sauna. The hotel's location in the West End offers a quieter, less touristy atmosphere compared to staying directly closer to the National Mall, which we found refreshing. It's relatively close to the Phillips Collection, and we enjoyed seeing some lovely reprints from their collection displayed throughout the hotel. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Many thanks to GM T.D. and their team for a great hospitality and service. The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. combines exceptional service, thoughtful amenities, and refined comfort. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the nation's capital."
