What Guests Are Saying

“We booked this suite for my stepdaughter’s dance competition and were not sorry we did! We were greeted by the amazing Joe at the front desk and he was very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. Our room was tucked away on the fourth floor and we barely heard other guests, so the location was prime! The AC unit kept the room very comfortable, and my husband liked the little work area by the window. My stepdaughter was shocked at how comfortable the sofa bed was. The bathroom had ample room around the sink, and the water was hot with good pressure. My stepdaughter was able to swim and really enjoyed the pool. There were a few signs of wear and tear in the hallways but otherwise the decor was attractive and everything was very clean. All in all we really enjoyed our stay, and if we have to come back to Lewes for the competition next year, we plan on booking our stay at this Sleep Inn. Every employee we interacted with was friendly and made us feel welcome. I do, however, have a few negatives (at least for us): - The satiny bedspread would not stay on the bed if we pushed it down; it ended up on the floor every night. - While the sliding barn door of the bathroom saved space by not opening into the room, it did not have a latch and would not stay shut. - The shampoo bottle mounted to the wall was broken and repeatedly fell off the shower wall. - Spare blankets and sheets were in the dresser drawers instead of over in the closet when we arrived. - While there were many outlets in the room, there were none by the sofa. - If you sat on the sofa, you could not clearly see the television. - While I understand the breakfast provided was “continental” in nature, it would have been nice over three mornings to have a bit of variety. - On our last day (Sunday), we went to breakfast between 7:30 and 8:00 (I believe). The juice machine was out of cranberry and there were only knives and spoons available. When I asked the very pleasant attendant for a fork, she said she asked the front desk and was told ‘no more forks.’ - Even with the AC room, after the first day, the room seemed humid/stuffy all the time, even on days when no one used the shower.” — LaraJL1972, 5 stars

“The staff at the hotel were awesome! Got yo speak with manager Carol and she was so friendly. The desk lady was also very friendly. Her name was Becca I think. The only thing I could say is she shouldn’t have been all by herself on a 3-11 shift when everyone is checking in, I did hear they hired someone new so that will help. The staff there was very welcoming to my family, especially my special needs child with autism. Had to change rooms because the tv wasn’t working but it ended up being a nicer room. The maids clean the rooms every day snd do a great job, not all hotels do that. Needed more towels and just had to ask for some. The staff printed up coloring sheets for my son to color. They do need to fix their customer printer, though. Also the wifi didn’t work too well.” — Sl109101, 5 stars

“The service was very good & extremely efficient like a well oiled machine ! Fresh & Clean come to mind when it comes to this under the radar gem ! But what really separates this hotel is…wait for it …not yet…is the interpersonal relationship skills the entire staff had demonstrated ! From the Hotel Manager to the outside clean up person to the handyman service tech ! All greeted us with a smile & all said have a wonderful day ! Impressive ! Thank you for your hospitality !” — ron R., 5 stars

"I never write reviews for anything really unless something really wows me. I love this place. It is the second time staying here in the last couple of months and I will continue to come back. Joe at the front desk went above and beyond for us. Our original rooms tv wasn’t working and he made sure to get us in an upgraded room right away. His hospitality is out of this world. He made us feel cared about and at home. And who doesn’t love a free hotel breakfast! Highly recommend and thank you again Joe!"

"Great little hotel for a short weekend stay. Rooms were clean , the pool area is perfect for little kids and the staff was super friendly. They provide clean, dry towels at the pool. I found that quite convenient. My only complaint is that my room did not have actual bathroom door, but a barn style wooden door. It does not lock or latch and I had no way to prevent the kids from going in there except moving the couch in front of the door. Also, the windows open and do not lock. There is no screen. This made me a bit nervous. Overall though, if I stay in DE again, I would def book this hotel."

"We just stayed here from 9/11 to 9/15. I would definitely stay here again. Everyone was very friendly. The pool is heated and is open until 11pm. The breakfast is pretty good. Our room was very spacious. The room however did have a bad smell. We brought air freshner so that worked. Lol. The shower could use a good cleaning, and the water pressure isn't the greatest. Honestly though overall we really enjoyed our stay!"
