What Guests Are Saying

“My friends and I came to Dover to research genealogy at the Archives. The owners were very gracious. Our rooms were beautifully appointed, the beds comfortable and very quiet. Do not pass up the breakfast; it was so delicious. I had an egg omelet rolled up with layers of veggies and bacon. The sourdough bread is from a local french bakery. Also gave us a goodie bag for our travel home!” — Donna T, 5 stars

“To begin with, Kia gave us the friendliest welcome by showing us not only our room but all the other guest areas with amenities. Our bedroom was stunning, in decor, comfort and size with plenty of hidden space. Bruce went out for delicious pastries every morning which we ate in the sun on the beautiful porch.” — Caroline M, 5 stars

“Quiet comfortable rooms in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful old houses, close to the First State Heritage Park. Great hosts who made us feel welcome and accommodated all of our mobility needs. We got goody bags when we left and a beautiful home-grown cantaloupe.” — Val-Silver-Spring, 5 stars

"My partner and I had a truly wonderful stay at this inn! The couple who own the inn were incredibly kind and welcoming—they really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They offered a delicious breakfast, and one of the most thoughtful gestures was the goodie bags they prepared for us. They knew we were leaving early in the morning and made sure to leave them out for us ahead of time—such a sweet and personal touch. The inn itself was charming, cozy, and spotless. You can tell they put a lot of care into everything they do. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, relaxing getaway!"

"I had an amazing stay here, and the hosts were exceptional! From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming, making sure I felt safe, happy, and relaxed throughout my stay as a solo traveler. I stayed in the blue room, which was not only spacious but also full of character and comfort. I was in town for a music festival, and the family was so accommodating, adjusting to the late schedule for me and the other guests. The house itself is beautiful, with a clean and comfortable ambiance that captures the charm of historical architecture, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. Although I didn't explore the town, as I was focused on the music festival, the location is in the historic district and within walking distance to Dover Motor Speedway. The family offered delicious-looking and fragrant breakfast options, though I didn’t have any due to spending most of my time at the festival. I highly recommend this place for its reasonable prices, clean and comfortable accommodations, friendly and accommodating hosts, and overall unique experience. Thank you for everything, Bruce and Kiya! Very nice to meet you and your beautiful family. :)"
