No other rooms were available and desk person said someone on the 1st floor was probably cooking and the smell’; a 2-star ‘Sadly, just okay’ wrote ‘This hotel is very clean. The mattress was very uncomfortable. There was no protective mattress pad. The staff can make or break a hotel stay. Unfortunately, none of the staff (3) we encountered seemed happy. No smiles.’ No in-room jacuzzi advertised — pool and full-kitchen Marriott extended-stay. What Guests Are Saying
“My family stayed at the Dover Residence Inn this weekend to break up our trip home from the Outer Banks. We had a two-room suite for the five of us and my son was to sleep on the pull-out sofa in the living room. When he opened the sofa, we found that the bottom strap was broken so we called the front desk about it. Darren was so helpful and he gave our son his own room to compensate for the broken sofa bed as they had no other suites to move us into. Needless to say, our son was very happy to have his own room. Thanks so much, Darren! Also, the hot tub was very relaxing and breakfast was pretty good, too. Thumbs up to this property and staff.” — HEATHER B., 5 stars
“If you are going to an event at the Spire Institute I highly recommend staying at the Residence Inn in Mentor OH. The hotel is just a short distance from the Spire Institute and there is some amazing restaurants in the area. The entire staff at the Residence Inn went above and beyond for the Swimmers that were staying there. The last night there the team had a catered dinner in the common area and the staff ensured that the dinner went as we planned. The hotel is very clean, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing!” — Christine S., 5 stars
“We are on a long travel and stay many places on this trip. This Hotel is the best so far, fantastic room with kitchen and living room (all in one). The great part is that I is far from the most expensive actually on the contrary close to being the least expensive. If I should put a finger on anything then the breakfast area is a little small. Staff at front desk are fantastic as well” — Per H., 5 stars
