“We loved our stay at Hotel Roanoke. This is our second time staying here. I would not stay here for just any trip since the price is higher than what we would normally pay. For us it’s worth the money for a special occasion or a trip without our kids. It is kid friendly though, but I would rather enjoy my time there without my kids. The room was very clean, bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. Shower is great! I love the added touch of bathrobes in the room :) The hotel is obviously gorgeous and has so much history. The pool snd hot tub is also great. Towels are provided and there were floats and pool noodles to use as well. Nice little thought. My only suggestion is to sell stamps there. I bought a post card to mail off and really wanted to use the Mail Drop on my floor (how cool!) but no stamps. “My family and I attended the Mother’s Day buffet in Crystal Ballroom today. The place is beautiful and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The lady, Kim, who checked us in for lunch was very polite. The gentleman who sat us, Robert, was also very polite and quickly retrieved a high chair for our 2 year old. Our waitresses, Oriana and Olivia, were very helpful and attentive. The Banquet Managers, Sherri and Matt, stopped by to check on us and Matt went out of his way to make sure our celiac family members had no issues with cross contamination. The culinary staff manning the buffet stations were most helpful and knowledgeable about the food. Those I can remember names for were Mike, Leigh, Kris, and Phil. I’ll wrap this up by saying the mimosas made by Elvis were excellent. I highly recommend the holiday buffet as all the staff were excellent and the food was amazing.” — Matthew H., 5 stars

“Hotel was busy but we stayed in the relax section. Very quiet. But the hotel is overall busy so while it a great location for old town Roanoke it’s not a place to come for quiet. Our plan was just to see downtown and explore shops and eat. I would say this is a great place for business meetings and conferences. We did not use any of the on site restaurants. Plenty in town across the glass enclosed bridge which starts at the hotel.” — Dan, 5 stars
