About The Hotel
Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria is a 4.5-rated boutique hotel on King Street directly at the King Street Metro, with near-perfect cleanliness (4.8) and location (4.8) scores. The property runs a bar, patio, EV charging, refreshing spa water in the lobby, and pet-friendly rooms. A boutique rather than an in-room-jacuzzi property — the appeal is direct Metro access to DC combined with a walkable Old Town base. Reviewer praise centers on the location, the beds and the front-desk service; the western-King-Street setting is a short walk or trolley ride from the waterfront restaurants.
What Guests Are Saying
“My fiancé had a training in Old Town Alexandria, and we opted to stay at The Archer for a cozy, intimate getaway. The staff here is amazing, super accommodating, discreet, and kind. They always try to accommodate their guests and fulfill requests whenever possible. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted me almost every time I left and returned, which was often while exploring the area. They answered any questions we had about the town and surrounding attractions and were especially helpful in finding parking in the middle of the city, even off-site! The rooms were clean, well appointed, and featured adjustable heating and cooling. We also had a nice little view of the city. The bed is incredibly soft and cool at first, though it warms up quickly once you settle in. The pillows are very plush with goose feathers, so if you prefer a firmer pillow, you may want to request an extra one. The room-darkening curtains are excellent for keeping the room cool and blocking out the sun. The service and food at HomeGrown are fantastic, and everything we tried was delicious. AKB is also a great option for dinner, drinks, or a quick bite on the go. The room amenities are top-tier as well. The slippers are comfortable, the robes are soft, clean, and cozy, and the shower gets wonderfully hot perfect for relaxing and refreshing after a long day. The room rates were right up our alley, and in my opinion, you get a luxurious stay for a steal, especially with a lion-claw tub!” — Allonia G., 5 stars
“My husband and I visited Old Town, Alexandria, for the first time in four years. Before our courtship and marriage, I had lived in Old Town from 2012 to 2014. This year, our goal was to connect with friends and hit up some of the new galleries and museums. The Archer Hotel was the perfect home base, steps away from the King St Metro. The Archer was ideal because of its convenient location and amenities. We enjoyed the walkability, the restaurant and bar, and the outdoor firepit. Sophia at the front desk made our time a pleasure, filling us with treats and taking cheerful action whenever we made a request. The Archer was a peaceful, clean haven to recharge after busy days in DC. Each morning, we were ready to strike out again with alacrity to see our friends and experience DC. The Archer Hotel helped step into America’s Semiquincentennial Celebrations and the wonders of DC.” — Sarah C., 5 stars
“We had a lovely stay at the Archer Hotel. We were in town for a graduation and enjoyed how convenient it was to everything we needed. The hotel staff were very friendly. I liked the refreshing spa water served daily in the lobby. Our room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the use of the outside courtyard space where we had food & beverages from the restaurant and played cards. The cocktails at the restaurant on site were amazing, but pricey. Our family enjoyed the breakfast of the Home-Grown restaurant on the property and said it was delicious. The hotel is walking distance from the Metro. We took the Metro from Reagan International airport to the train stop and then walked with our luggage to the hotel. It was very easy to do. We would definitely stay at the Archer again if in the Alexandria VA area.” — seek_adventures, 5 stars

Muhammad helped with my luggage, the valet gentleman (whose name I unfortunately missed) was wonderful, and Sophia went above and beyond to help me extend my stay because I loved it so much. She even made my room switch completely seamless. The team at Homegrown, the breakfast spot next door, is also top-notch—delicious food, amazing service, and staff with such bubbly personalities that they truly made my mornings brighter. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommend!"
