What Guests Are Saying
“We recently stayed at Drury Plaza Hotel in the Richmond area while attending a 40th wedding anniversary celebration in the DMV, and our experience exceeded our expectations. We actually chose Drury because a new location recently opened near us in Brandon, Florida. We hadn’t had the chance to stay there yet because it’s been incredibly popular since opening, so when I saw the Richmond location on Expedia with a great rate and an additional discount, it was an easy decision. Before traveling, I called to ask about early check in, but unfortunately it wasn’t available at the time. However, once we landed and stopped by the hotel before heading to our event, Kim at the front desk completely turned things around. She was warm, accommodating, understanding, and was able to get us into our room so we could get ready for the anniversary celebration. Her customer service was exceptional and truly set the tone for our stay. Thank you, Kim! The hotel itself was spotless. The room and common areas were very clean, and every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. Although we were in and out most of the weekend, every interaction was pleasant. One thing that really stood out was the value. Complimentary breakfast each morning, the evening Kickback with food and drinks, drink tickets for adult beverages, and even fresh popcorn made this stay feel like you were getting so much more than just a room. Whether you’re traveling with family, as a couple, or on business, these amenities are a huge bonus and can really help stretch your travel budget. We also noticed how family friendly the atmosphere was. It was welcoming without feeling overwhelming, and the amenities make it easy to see why so many families choose Drury. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to staying at another Drury during our upcoming trip to the San Antonio area. If this experience is any indication of what we can expect from the brand, we’re excited to become repeat guests. Thank you to Kim and the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable. Wishing Drury continued success! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐” — LaToya B., 5 stars
“I asked Co-Pilot to map out a route from Florida to Pennsylvania with 2 overnight stops. We usually stay at Hampton Inns. Co-Pilot suggested The Drury Plaza Richmond (Glen Allen), Virginia. Between that recommendation and Trip Advisor reviews, we booked The Drury. The rates are at least competitive (or better) but wow … you get so much more for your money. The hotel is super clean. The staff is super friendly. The beds are super comfy (the pillows are small but nice). AND each guest gets a coupon for 3 free drinks, happy hour buffet (dinner!), and breakfast! The drinks aren’t Dixie cup size. Wine, beer AND cocktails. I had a decent margarita. Actually 3 nice margaritas and a pulled pork slider with coleslaw. Chili, salad and hot dogs were also available. The hot breakfast included make your own waffles, 2 different kinds of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, biscuits & gravy, and oatmeal. Cold cereal and fruit also available. The decaf coffee was excellent. How do they do it??? Very easy off and on I-95. This will be our Go-To for future trips along this route! Thank you Ci-Pilot and Trip Advisor and … The Drury for a very nice stay. See you next time! But really … how do they do it all for the price???” — Marie E., 5 stars
“The location close to where my business meetings was perfect. Traffic was not an issue. Parking was definitely not an issue. There was plenty of parking. atmosphere of the hotel was very nice. All the staff from the time of check-in till eating. My meals were wonderful. I loved the breakfast. had a wide selection and the 530 kickback was just wonderful. The rooms were clean and the car was nice. The bathrooms were also very clean. The housekeeping staff did a great job. I would definitely stay in another one of the hotels in other locations and I would even stay at this hotel again.” — Tracie H., 5 stars

"Wow that was a great first stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel. I never imagined a place would give free dinner, soft drinks and cocktails as well as free breakfast the next morning. I was sort of blown away especially with today's markets of "getting less". The rooms were great. The bed was maybe one of the best hotel beds ive ever slept in. The staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and smelled nice. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in town. A+++"

The building is beautiful with plenty of lounge area. The breakfast and dinner served in Kick Back area of lobby is fantastic and has a great selection. Every staff member was kind and knowledgeable, they really work to support each other to provide excellent guest services. The guest laundry and ice machine areas were clean well lit. The pool area and gym were checked by a staff member regularly during my stay and wiped down/ towels refreshed . I could not have asked for a better weekend for my family during this family event. Thank you to everyone who made us feel safe and cared for."

On New Years Eve the hotel decorated a Conference Room and served some different snacks, cheese , salami, crackers, vegetables, cake, cupcakes, etc and they had a DJ. The bar was a cash bar which the bartender was very busy. She did a great job getting drinks and food orders out quickly. Marisol and her team worked hard and did a great job throwing this event. Marisol and her team did not stop working the entire night. I also saw them setting up the day before. Marisol , I forget what her titled position at the hotel was but as a lead of a department she worked as hard as anyone. Marisol is a great leader and should be recognized along with her staff and team at the hotel. I did not know the hotel was throwing an event when I booked the hotel. It was a great surprise to us to be able to visit family in the area and have a place to enjoy New Years Eve. Great Job to the entire staff. Happy New Year to the entire staff. Ray."
