What Guests Are Saying
“This place may be one of Virginia’s best kept secrets. Lying just a few miles from Milepost 136 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it’s not the easiest place to find, but if google suggests you take a Private Drive with Keep Out signs on it, ignore the signs and head on up. The signs for the Lodge appear slightly further up. (Long story, but delightful hosts Ginger and David are working on it.) What you’ll find is a Valhalla of peace and tranquility. Family friendly? Certainly! But for the solo traveler, small parties, and anyone following Virginia’s motto that the state is for lovers, you will find its heart right here. The beautifully simple, yet elegant rooms, and spacious guest areas, are accompanied by a view that is gob-smackingly beautiful - as good as any on the Parkway. Get the Yoga mat out, write a book, close your eyes while the children play, reminisce about the past, or ponder the future, this is gem. (Written without prompting or promotional benefit. I only wish I had more time, I would have extended my stay in a heartbeat.)” — Oldenoughtoknow, 5 stars
“Beautiful lodge on Bent Mountain with fabulous views! Quiet and peaceful. Many areas to recreate in the living room or on the huge wrap around deck. It has fire pits to relax beside and private porches. Beautiful horses and deer reside as well. The sky views are ever-changing and the sunrises and sunsets are heaven sent. We stayed in owls Perch Suite starting October 27, 2024. The bed was comfy and perfect. It had a huge bathroom with jetted tub and a separate place to sit and put on makeup outside of the bathroom or a desk to write about your travels. A small living room with a tv and 2 love seats. A huge closet for your clothes and separate shoe rack. All decked out with owls. It had everything you need Our free continental breakfast to grab and take to watch the sunrise on the deck or head for the Blue Ridge Parkway was just what we wanted. We will be back!” — Catherine M., 5 stars
“Great place to stay near Roanoke VA. New host-owners very sweet and accommodating, with continuing plans for upgrades and tweaks. Comfortable bed in our big room with a view. Very unfussy, down to earth and pleasant. With a huge bridal suite with private enclosed deck and huge bathroom, this would be a perfect place for a wedding on the mountain! Lots of outdoor decking and seating as well as room for buffet or seated dinner. Bring your own caterer and friends. This would also be a nice place for family reunion - or just a getaway for two.” — Baltomania, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Bent Mountain Lodge.
"Ginger and David are fabulous hosts. This was our first time staying at the Bent Mountain Lodge, but it won’t be our last. We can’t wait to return. The views from the Lodge are spectacular, the rooms are very large and updated. We enjoyed breakfast before we headed out for the day to local places Ginger suggested. This is a booming wedding location and it doesn’t take long to see why. We look forward to returning again soon and to see what else has been upgraded as they have many plans for the future of the Lodge!!"
