Green Mountain Inn
"Beloved Main Street inn with in-room jacuzzi-and-fireplace rooms, a heated pool, and 100 years of genuine New England charm."
About The Hotel
From $122/night — outstanding value for a historic Main Street inn. This 100-year-old property (2,300+ reviews, 4.6 rating) sits steps from Stowe’s shops and restaurants and delivers genuine charm with substance. The standout: book an upper-category king room and you’ll get a two-person jacuzzi tub and a gas fireplace looking out over the village or gardens. Beyond the rooms, there’s a heated outdoor pool, indoor jacuzzi, sauna, two on-site restaurants, and a beloved afternoon tea-and-cookie hour. Staff warm and responsive, cleanliness strong. It’s old-building traditional, so rooms vary and some run small, but the location and the jacuzzi-fireplace experience make it a rare value at this caliber.
What Guests Are Saying
“Our experience at the Green Mountain Inn was absolutely incredible. The staff made our stay unforgettable — every single person we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond, even leaving a thoughtful birthday surprise in our room for my husband. It was such a kind, personal touch that meant so much to us. The inn and grounds feel like stepping back in time in the most charming way. The entire property is full of history, beautifully maintained, upscale, spotless, and decorated so festively and elegantly. It has that rare combination of classic New England charm and modern comfort. We stayed in a king fireplace room with a jacuzzi, and it was absolutely lovely — spacious, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was amazing, the fireplace made the whole room feel warm and inviting, and the jacuzzi was the perfect way to unwind. The amenities were another highlight. The hot tub and sauna in the spa were incredible, especially on a snowy Vermont night. Pure relaxation. The location is unbeatable — just steps from the most charming general stores and coffee shops. It made exploring Stowe so easy and enjoyable. We also had a fantastic dinner at The Whip. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was impeccable. We will absolutely be back again and again. This stay gave us the most perfect memories, and the Green Mountain Inn has officially become one of our favorite places.” — Kendra R., 5 stars
“We had a very nice stay here. First, staff was excellent, from the front desk to the bar & restaurant. This is a 100 year old property, so keep that in mind. Very deep history is featured in old photos around the hotel. Our room was quite large, as was the bathroom. The value is good, considering you’re right on the main street of Stowe. Plenty of free parking on property. Our first night, we ate in the hotel’s restaurant and it was EXCELLENT (see menu online). They have a full bar, wine list and a wide assortment of local craft beers, too. Again, the service was A++++++. Book it!” — MarkFL-USA, 5 stars
“This was a mother-daughter trip to go skiing. The Inn was in a perfect location, walkable to all of downtown. We stayed in a poolside room which had a lovely view. The room was comfortable and spacious, appreciated having a fridge. The bed and bedding were super comfy. Afternoon tea and cookies was a nice touch. Proximity to both cross country and down hill skiing was great! We had a special time together.” — Blueberrylove, 5 stars

View on Google"This is 100% my favorite vacation spot. First of all there are more than 3 places in the hotel that you can stay at. I’ve stayed in the Mansfield House twice and it was awesome. They also have a pool bar and free cookies at 4pm. During that time they also have other drinks like tea and lemonade. The pool are is awesome, they have connect 4 and ping pong with 2 fire pits. The one that is on the bottom level used to be a kiddie pool also. They have an arcade in the hotel area also. There is another one nearby with an ice cream shop next to it. I go to The Green Mountain Inn almost every July 4th for the fireworks and the parade that walks right by the hotel. Overall awesome hotel."
