What Guests Are Saying

“The cutest B&B in Stowe, VT! Don (the owner) met us when we arrived and spent time showing us all of the features of the property and showing us to our room. The cosiest common area of any place we’ve stayed! Soft couches, warm coffee and peaceful surroundings. You couldn’t ask for a more relaxing environment. Each morning there was a delicious breakfast made and each night the surprise “snack” was always tasty! It was really nice to be so close to downtown Stowe without having to deal with the crowded streets and noisy traffic. We will definitely return!” — Matthew F., 5 stars

“The Brass Lantern was great - a perfect, cozy Vermont Inn experience. The owners live on site and were available to help when I needed anything - ice for my bad knee or a phone charger that fit my car rental. The breakfasts were delicious and coffee was available all the day whenever I wanted it. They even put out a nighttime snack each evening. There’s a neat game room and nice commom spaces where I could relax. The inn shows off an interesting and eclectic art collection. My room was comfy and clean. I always travel with ear plugs, but I didn’t need any because it was quiet. The inn is close enough to the main street of Stowe (you could drive or walk), but far enough away to get away from the bustle of that little main street in town. I’d definitely stay there again if given an opportunity.” — Stephanie L., 5 stars

“Me & my husband had a great time in Stowe and staying at the Brass Lantern Inn. Don was an excellent host! His daily breakfasts were so delicious and filling! We often skipped lunch because we were so full, haha! The room was comfortable with plenty of space for our luggage. The whole Inn is decorated with beautiful art and lovely decor. Don was very responsive to our needs. We asked him to replace the sound machine in our room and he promptly delivered. He also recommended restaurants for us to try. We enjoyed the snacks he left us each evening. They were so yummy! We enjoyed looking at the chickens, ducks and birds while enjoying our breakfast. I would highly recommend Brass Lantern Inn if you come to Stowe, VT!” — CNK, 5 stars

"Wonderful stay at the Brass Lantern!! Our room was a bit small but clean and quaint with beautiful views of Mt Mansfield. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast each morning was delicious farm to table home cooked! Location was close to downtown Stowe with great shops, restaurants, and breweries. Would definitely stay again!"

"My boyfriend and I had the sweetest little stay here. Don and Andrew put a ton of care into even the smallest details, and it really comes through as a guest. From a bathroom stocked with every toiletry you could need, to a fresh, rotating breakfast menu, customized to each guests’ dietary needs. It’s one of those places where as soon as we pulled away we were already talking about how much we wanted to come back."

"The Brass Lantern is a beautiful place to stay, we had a smaller room but it was perfect for us. Clean and tidy with all the necessary mod cons. The shared areas are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast were extremely tasty with plenty to eat. Tea and coffee were available all day. The views were beautiful and the location is only a 15 minute from the town which had plenty of shops to wander around. The owner, Don, was lovely to deal with and made our stay perfect. Would highly recommend this beautiful place to stay whilst you are in Stowe. Many thanks John and Sandie. Please give Butterscotch a pat from us."
