What Guests Are Saying
“Large, clean, room, with a very comfortable bed. You can have the free continental breakfast, or if you want more, there is a terrific cafe across the parking lot! Just up the road is the Putney General Store, which is a must visit! Across the road is a yarn shop, and bike/ski shop. We definitely recommend this accommodation. The owners were very accommodating!” — Boombah49, 5 stars
“Great value for the money. It was better than I would expect from an indy motel. My room was immaculate. Bathroom is beautiful and very well lit. Room is very quiet - you can’t even hear traffic on I-91, which is just a few yards away. The Putney Inn is at the end of the I-91 northbound off-ramp. Very easy to get to. The inn provides a typical quick motel breakfast (cereal, waffles, juice, etc.).” — MarkEnRoute, 4 stars
“We wanted to try a small inexpensive place to stay for a night as we are on a longer trip. Very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room with nice beds and clean. The Inn is right next to the highway 91 but its quiet despite that. Can highly recommend if you need a place to stay.” — Per H., 4 stars

What guests are saying about The Putney Inn.
"My mom and I had a short stay (1 night), as we were on a visit to watch my son play college basketball nearby. To start, the place is right off the highway, has a large parking lot, and beautiful grounds. Check in was quick and easy, and the price for our stay was fantastic. I was very pleasantly surprised by the room. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a double queen room, which was quite spacious. Mini fridge and microwave provided. The mattresses looked brand new, and we're quite comfortable! The bathroom was clean. 2 bars of soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. Plenty of towels of many sizes and they smelled very fresh and clean. Free breakfast is also provided, though we didn't partake, they did seem to have some nice options. I think the only negatives I could note are that the walls are a bit thin so sounds travels through them easily. And there are a number of cobwebs on the windows (outside) that would be nice if they were cleaned off. Otherwise, the place was beautiful and we will definitely stay here again!"

View on Google"First floor with locking regular door and a patio door. Super welcome with the dog. Patio door would not lock so we used luggage rack to provide a makeshift lock. Manager stated it's easy to lock. Lock did not line up with latch opening. However, the room was very clean. Very comfortable queen-sized beds. Nice big bathtub. Close to north 91 on-ramp and close to a small boat ramp onto the Connecticut river. Most importantly - VERY QUIET. It was a pleasant stay."

View on Google"A nice room and very clean too...It looks kind of ordinary when we pulled up into the parking lot but we were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room. The lady who checked us in was very friendly. Right off the interstate but we couldn't hear it. They had great coffee in the breakfast area in the morning. We did not partake in the continental breakfast because we wanted to go to the Putney Food Co-op right around the corner from the motel, they have anything you could dream of there...We will definetly return to this motel if in the area!"
