What Guests Are Saying
“The Vermont Inn is cozy, welcoming and very affordable! Lots of nooks to get cozy and enjoy a cup of hot tea or coffee and read a book (lots of books available at the inn) or play a board game. Paul, the Inn keeper, is incredibly nice and extremely knowledgeable of the area and Vermont in general. Our room/bathroom was clean and well appointed. Bed and linens were comfortable and clean. Water pressure in shower was excellent! Continental breakfast had a nice variety. Location was ideal…close to Killington and Rutland…offering lots of choices for shopping and dining. I would highly recommend the Vermont Inn! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Paul! God bless you and all at the Vermont Inn.” — Kimberly W., 5 stars
“The Inn was very cozy and clean. Paul was helpful and added some nice extra touches for our group, such as afternoon tea socials and a cheese cake night in the pub. I wish I’d brought my suit for the hot tub! Definitely will stay again.” — milvia A., 5 stars
“I struggled with whether to rate this a 3 or 4; I’ll explain why. For years, I’d read so many glowing reports on this inn and have always wanted to visit. Finally, we did. We stayed two nights in October and were somewhat perplexed when we arrived. It really didn’t look very much like the photos on various websites, which presented a charming, lively inn. It’s small and remote, which we wanted, but something is missing. It was clean and the host was kind and welcoming, but it feels past its prime, a bit worn around the edges, in need of spiffing-up. We booked the large White Birches Suite, which was ample in size and comfortable, with a gas fireplace to add a little sparkle. The ceilings were very low (my husband is very tall) and there’s a beam over the bath-shower that meant he had to crouch to shower. The on-site pub and big, gorgeous, creative breakfast seen in photos on the website and elsewhere were of interest, but the pub wasn’t operating and the breakfast was standard continental, with basic cereal, banana, granola bars and muffins. That said, the staff was very nice and the price was accordingly lower than the fancier places closer to and in the crowded town of Woodstock. The for-sale signs on the property made sense; we absolutely hope that new owners with loads of money will bring this old gal back to luxurious beauty!” — June41975, 4 stars

What guests are saying about The Vermont Inn.
"The Vermont Inn is a warm and lovely place to stay for the weekend. We booked a room at a super affordable rate, and were thrilled with how nice it was when we walked in (fireplace in unit!). We were stoked about the sauna and hot tub... even though we ended up not managing our time well and just admiring them in passing. Don't sleep on the cozy communal areas tucked away throughout the building (i.e. the multi-level TV room with extensive DVD collection just off the main lobby). Thank you to the kind employees that helped make our stay so enjoyable (shoutout to Abraham)."
