Lang House on Main Street Bed
"Historic 1881 Queen Anne B&B with cooked breakfast and Main Street location near downtown and UVM."
About The Hotel
From $210/night — a 4.7-lifetime-rated Victorian B&B offering genuine charm and value. Lang House on Main Street occupies a beautiful 1881 Queen Anne home with period character, spacious common areas, and a cooked-to-order breakfast. Free parking is a downtown rarity. However, recent reviews are mixed: reports of inconsistent housekeeping, tired furnishings, and limited innkeeper presence suggest the property relies on its historic bones more than active management. Main Street traffic and college nightlife can be noisy; rooms are small. Best for travelers who value historic architecture and breakfast over hands-on innkeeping.
What Guests Are Saying
“My daughter and I stayed Mothers’ Day weekend at The Lang House in Burlington VT while attending my granddaughter’s college graduation. Everything about the place is superb: a beautiful, historic ambience, attentive service, delicious and impeccably presented breakfast selections, thoughtful service such as bringing coffee and freshly baked cookies to our room first thing in the morning. A special Mothers’ Day breakfast was arranged at our request, and every request was responded to promptly and with great courtesy. The location is great, within easy wolking distance to downtown and the train station. The room we had was very comfortable and the public areas (sitting area, garden room for breakfast) gracious and appealing. In short, we loved staying at the Lang House.” — susanbrothschild, 5 stars
“Cute well kept large antique home. The room and bathroom was very clean. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast. Only negative was the noisy busy street but other than that it was a pleasant stay. Nice and close to downtown.” — Beverly T., 5 stars
“Beautiful well appointed inn with spacious and comfortable suites. Very user friendly. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, but tasty. Would stay again.” — Tina S., 5 stars

Our room was gorgeous. We stayed in the Tuttle Room. We can't wait to come back again!! It was also perfect walking distance from lots of shopping and restaurants, and the lake. We absolutely loved it!!"

The breakfast served each morning was delicious. They even left "cookies of the day" outside the room every day! They are committed to being environmentally friendly with their toiletry options and water refills. My partner is a coffee connesiuer and he loved their coffee. The robes provided in the room were incredible as well. I can't say enough good things about this place. Also very convenient to the beach areas and all the shops / eateries downtown!"

View on Google"Overall, a cozy experience with all the usual comforts. Delightful breakfast served to order with a smiling host. Fabulous walkable location. I took off a star only because I feel for the price that a luxe buffet-style breakfast with richer coffee would be a better value. Yes, a bit of dust on the room furniture, but quite clean overall. I recommend guests bring their wine/beer/snacks to enjoy in the very lovely salons!"
