“My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Big Cypress Lodge. Our room was on the 3rd floor with an inside balcony overlooking the Bass Pro Shop. The room was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. It was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at! In the morning, we were able to see staff in hip waders feeding the sturgeon. If you have never stayed here, it is a beautiful hotel and I would recommend staying here once. But please be aware of the cons which I’ve listed below. I would recommend the 3rd floor inside balcony as it is better viewing over the store. Pros: - Beautiful rooms - Balcony overlooking the store - Cleanliness - Location was good, able to walk Cons: - They have a very strict check in policy and definitely would not check anyone in until at least 3:30 p.m. Every day there were people sitting at the entrance with suitcases waiting to check in. - Parking is $20 + tax whether you park in their lot yourself or use their valet parking. - There is also a $20 + tax resort fee per night. The only thing it was good for was the elevator to the observation desk. Yes, it was unlimited rides on the elevator but it’s not like someone is going to go up and down multiple times. They have a fitness center and business center but so does every hotel. They do have a shuttle but again other hotels also have this. Plus there is no pool which other hotels have. - We felt like these were hidden fees and wish they would just add it to the price of the room instead of finding out the room is $44 more per night when you go to check out online. - Most every hotel we stay at has lemon water and coffee,/tea/hot water available in the lobby all day. Here you have nothing. You get 2 bottles of water and a couple bags of snacks upon check in. There is a coffee maker in the room. Had to ask for more coffee. They have coffee in the lounge in the mornings but it was all put away by 9:00 a.m. every day of our stay. - Breakfast was also an additional charge $24/person - lots of people in the store trying to sell Hilton time share. They are located in multiple places in the store and hit you up at every location. You can’t even get to the check-in desk without going past one” — Susan H., 5 stars
“This wasn’t well planned…at all. We drove to Florida from STL over spring break…and my husband and son wanted to stop at the Bass Pro Pyramid…and they thought it was in Nashville…lol. So shortly outside of Nashville…I looked up the address…and told them it’s actually in Memphis…and it’s a hotel! We made plans to stay here on the way back instead, and were able to book a hotel through our credit card rewards program. Pros: Check in was easy, valet on duty even though we arrived late, room was large and clean. We had an interior view with porch overlooking the store…and it was so cool. We arrived around 10pm and departed around 11 am. We did a quick trip through the store before finishing our road trip. We didn’t want to wait in line to go to the top elevator viewing deck and didn’t eat at any of the restaurants. My husband and I did enjoy the free coffee in the morning. It was fun to sit in the rocking chairs and watch the store open. I was really surprised that there isn’t more publicity around a very cool hotel. We live in St Louis which is only 4 hours away by car…and had no idea this was a hotel. My husband and teen son both knew there was a bass pro pyramid in TN somewhere, but both thought it was in Nashville (that was REALLY FUNNY!). Cons: There isn’t a restaurant in the hotel or room service open late (we arrived around 10pm and everything was closed). I looked up the hours for food before arriving, and we were aware things would be closed. However…there aren’t may things close by that are open past 9pm..so plan ahead. “We were originally supposed to stay here in March of 2025 but those plans had to be cancelled. We made it back this year in March 2026 and we were so glad we did. I booked the king Treehouse suite, and it was everything the videos made it out to be. The balcony overlooking the Bass Pro Shop was amazing! Very spacious, our two wiener dogs Scooby and Willy loved the view from up there and we ate dinner out there twice. People watching from the balcony was very fun and at night, after the store had closed and everyone had left, it was fun trying to spot a worker after hours sweeping the floor or stalking a shelf. It was a little like Where’s Waldo. And speaking of our two wiener dogs Scooby and Willy, they were hit of the place. All of the receptionists at the hotel lobby made a mad fuss over them and they even remembered their names throughout our entire stay. They each received their very own doggy snack bags and bandanas. We ate lunch at wahlburgers on their outdoor patio where we were able to take Scooby and Willy with us and even when we ate dinner at the lookout, they allowed us to take them with us in their strollers. We choose valet parking and it was so worth it. They helped get our luggage to and from our room on check in and check out and on check out, during the thunderstorm, having the valet bring our truck to us was very nice. "My stay at this hotel was bravissimo! I stayed here with my friends (they think they’re my friends, but their moms pay me), and we had a wonderful time. The room was clean and had many amenities, and the store is incredible. Special shout-out to my homie Alisha at the front desk. Someone get that woman a raise! Great conversation starter. Would’ve been 4.5 stars if it wasn’t for Alisha. Great location and the Grizzlies won which is sick. Can’t wait to have my honeymoon here one day😎"

View on Google"My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. Our room overlooked the store inside the building, which was surprisingly nice—especially once the store closed for the night and everything became quiet. The room was very clean, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The view from our porch was also pleasant. We ate at Wahlburgers for both lunch and dinner, and their service was outstanding. They made us feel welcome as tourists, and the food was great. The attached bowling area is a fun bonus for both adults and kids. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the full-service bar on the 3rd-floor lobby. We visited from 4 to 11, and the bartender, Tavana, was incredible. She played great music, took time to get to know us, and truly made the experience memorable. You can tell she loves her job, and she created a fun, welcoming environment. We also appreciated the hotel’s elevator system, which only allows access to hotel floors for guests. This added an extra sense of comfort knowing that store shoppers can’t wander the halls near your room. If there’s one thing we wouldn’t recommend, it’s the hotel breakfast. At $24 per person for a basic breakfast you can get for free at many other hotels, the cost just isn’t worth it. Instead, we went to The Arcade Restaurant—a super cool nearby spot that serves both breakfast and lunch. The hotel terrace is another great feature, with mini fire pits perfect for roasting marshmallows for s’mores. They sell s’mores kits in the lobby for $5 each, but the kits are only enough for one person, so I’d recommend bringing your own supplies if you’re visiting with a group. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and especially loved the atmosphere, bar experience, and added security. With a few tweaks—mainly to the breakfast pricing—it would be even better."
