What Guests Are Saying

“I would say this is the best hotel experience we have had in years. From the friendly staff, to the overall ambience, cleanliness, and just relaxing atmosphere. In both interactions with the front desk, they were courteous and extremely helpful. When I asked about ice; it wasn’t just “it’s in the lower lobby” the lovely woman actually told me exactly where to look and asked if I needed a bag (saving me a trip back to my room). This is customer service at its finest! We were on the second floor street side. Perhaps we are heavy sleepers or because school was out of session, but the road noise never bothered us. Yes there was some there, but it was not overwhelming. If you are bringing your furry family member as we did…look no further! If you go out through the lower lobby and walk through the parking garage to the other side there is a walking path, with grass on both sides that runs for at least a mile..and one direction leads directly to the James Quillan Veteran Center where there are beautiful grounds to walk and a Memorial Cemetery. As mentioned, the bathrooms are wonderfully large with double sinks and a bathtub. The hot water is HOT so take care. We will definitely be returning!” — mamiled, 5 stars

“Magnificent boutique hotel with old town charm and sophisticated, timely decor. Originally built in 1891, it was a shining star for 19 years before a devastating fire in 1910. We were told that it was meticulously rebuilt exactly as it was, and some of the original furniture remains. The mattress was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. I intended to ask the staff about the brand, but I never got around to it. The staff goes above and beyond, and as a former hotel manager, I notice everything. They were always eager to talk and share historical facts with us, smiling and greeting us warmly.” — Lenny B., 5 stars

“We have stayed here several times, found it quite by accident & positive visits every time ! We travel Texas to Massachusetts at least once a year. We stop & visit the VA cemetery every trip. The hotel is a gem ! High end restaurant if you wish to indulge. The Bar area is incredible if not for any other reason than to just see it ! Polite /courteous staff members always.” — Ron C., 5 stars

"Here’s a polished, glowing review you can use or adapt: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at the Carnegie Hotel was absolutely exceptional. The spa experience was amazing—relaxing, luxurious, and exactly what I needed. The rooms were beautifully appointed, incredibly comfortable, and felt like a true retreat. Guest services went above and beyond; every interaction was friendly, professional, and welcoming. To top it off, the bar was wonderful, with a great atmosphere and excellent drinks. From start to finish, the Carnegie Hotel delivered a first-class experience, and I can’t wait to return."

"We had our wedding here and stayed and got ready in the executive suite. The staff, especially the event coordinator, are so friendly and communicative. Our room had everything we needed for me and my bridesmaids to prepare for the big day! And the venue itself is stunning. It is regal, timeless, and the perfect accommodation. Wellington's food is top-tier, whether you're eating at the restaurant or having their food catered. It was delectable. 10/10 experience!"

"It's got the look, feel, and service of a luxury hotel without the pretentiousness. The front desk staff was professional and helpful. They were sure to point out all the amenities when I checked in. Bartenders were skilled in the art of conversation. This is a huge plus for a solo traveler. They also made great recommendations on both food and beer selctions. I felt very taken care of during my stay."
