“The history of the hotel and the history of the area create a fascinating backdrop for a wonderful stay. I have paid the same price or more for a room much less charming. We loved the antiques, chandeliers, wallpaper, and marble throughout the hotel. They were elegant and perfect for the period. It was very clean the bed was very comfortable and they offered top of the line soaps etc in guest rooms. To sit in the lobby with a cup of coffee in front of the fireplace topped it off. We would have loved to eat at Brumleys (an in house restaurant) but we got there after their closing . Check out the history of the area and Tennessee at Tusculum College, Samuel Doak House and the Greeneville Historical Museum. A great weekend trip.” — Tour451558, 5 stars
“Wow. About everything was right here. I read a very negative review or two before I went and was a touch worried. No need-everything for me was about as good as it could be. I could see parking being bad IF it was at full capacity, but being there in a gloomy winter month meant it wasn’t. From arrival, everything that involved staff went great. The bed was super comfy, and the room (and Inn) obviously show history, but are updated and appointed so that it is very cozy. Will stay here again next time I’m in the area.” — David K., 5 stars
“We stayed at the General Morgan Inn for 2 nights and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed an amazing dinner and two wonderful breakfasts that were catered specifically for our group of 47. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious and the hotel is lovely decorated. View on Google"We came in town for a concert at the NPAC and stayed here for the night. We were so pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. Our room was large, well appointed, huge bathroom and everything was up to date and cozy. We like historic places, so this fit our vibe really well. We would come back and stay here again if in the area and recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet place to stay. The only thing that was a little strange was the so-called breakfast. It was a $7 coupon to use at the coffee shop inside the mall of the hotel. The coupon bought a bagel with egg, cheese and sausage on it and it was very yummy, but nothing else. The hotel did have a generous supply of tea, coffee and hot cocoa in the lobby, so you didn't have to spend your coupon on that."

View on Google"Our community group needed a place to hold a Christmas party since we had outgrown hosting at a restaurant. We decided to use the General Morgan Ballroom A and were not disappointed!! The food was excellent and competitively priced. We gave the guests a choice of chicken, beef or salmon in advance which really sped up the serving time. The staff decorated the room spectacularly for Christmas with table adornments as well and a tree. We will definitely be using them again next year! Jack"
