“Such a lovely place to stay. I stayed in a queen sea view corner room with 3 amazing windows overlooking the crashing waves. Had a windy day or two to enjoy the sweet and comfy indoor common spaces too. The outdoor areas are amazing and just a walk down the steps for long walks on the beach. Walk to all the best restaurants (ones that are still open, a lot close this time of year but still plenty to choose from) highly recommend dinner at Winfields, the bar at The Main (Spring House) and Kimberly’s, and lunch at The Mohegan. “I really wanted to like this hotel, but was unfortunately very underwhelmed (particularly at the higher-end price point). I’ve stayed in other Lark properties without issue, but this location felt frankly like a bad flip. The entire place needs to be painted (literally spackle patching showing throughout the lobby and in our room). We had an oceanview king, which meant we were up 3 flights of narrow steps (which we had to haul our luggage down). There was bubbling, chipping paint throughout our room, areas that were not appropriately clean (large dust bunnies, spilled coffee stain on dresser, etc.), and the overhead lights in our bathroom didn’t work. We informed the front desk of the bathroom light issue immediately upon check in, and then again in response to various “customer service” texts and it was never acknowledged or addressed. The positives of Block Island Beach House were the location, comfortable bed, and tasty food at the restaurant - but overall, I wish I had stayed elsewhere (especially for the 800+ per night we paid)” — Erika M., 3 stars
