What Guests Are Saying
“Nicely remodeled hotel with clean rooms. No elevator though so be prepared to lug your stuff up the stairs. Downstairs bar/restaurant is nice. Couple of nice sitting areas in the downstairs area. Looks like they are putting in a pool and patio outside. Might come back to check it out!” — khoward26, 4 stars
“Really surprised how bad an experience this was …Internet does not work (and when it does it runs so slow it is unusable) - staff are disorganized - it is a building site - they charge $10 for parking (which is reasonable a city) but not in suburbs and the restaurant is just … bad. I could go on …. just do yourself a favor and avoid like the plague …” — michael S., 1 star
“Awesome place to stay!! Clean, fresh, and modern facility. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant on site was a major plus!” — Paula T., 5 stars

Guest reviews
What guests are saying about The Pell.
"I was a little hesitant to stay here due to all the reviews mentioning getting charged a smoking fee but realistically those people probably got caught smoking or vaping and just got salty about it. This hotel is great. Very clean and updated. Good sized rooms. The gym is clean and well equipped especially for hotel standards. The staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. I would stay here again."

View on Google"I was hesitant to stay at this hotel because of the 3.7 stars on Google. The reviews do not do this place justice, it gets 5 stars from me! The entire place is updated/modern. The rooms were clean. The staff in the restaurant and front desk were friendly and super helpful. Nick at the front desk provided me with an abundance of recommendations upon my request and answers all questions. Jessie in the restaurant provided awesome service for breakfast and lunch. The hotel is minutes from downtown Newport and many restaurants/stores. You won’t regret your stay."

View on Google"I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! Eric, the general manager, went above and beyond to help me. My phone was dying, and since my family was asleep, I didn’t want to wake them up. Eric kindly gave me a charger, sat and talked with me, and even helped fix my phone since it was glitching and I couldn’t check my messages. Who knew I’d meet such a smart and kind IT guy right down the hall at the perfect time! I’m here visiting my little brother, who just graduated from Navy officer school, and this stay has been amazing from start to finish. The hotel is spotless, the food is great, and the entire staff has been so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here!"
