About The Hotel

Steele Hill Resorts is a 3.8-rated (1,105 reviews) hilltop condo resort in Sanbornton offering spacious suites with sweeping lake-and-mountain views and a full range of family amenities. The property features indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, a bar and lounge, game room, and playground. However, the resort carries a timeshare-style condo structure rather than traditional hotel format, and some guests note occasional noise and upkeep variations across units.

What Guests Are Saying

“This place is great for families. We rented a townhouse suite, two floors two bedrooms , full kitchen with everything you need for utensils, a balcony for fresh air, pull out sofa for more guests to sleep etc. On top of a mountain, plenty of trees around. The pool was spacious and also had a perfect kiddie pool area. I like that they assign pool tables at check in so you don’t have to scramble to find a spot. There is a bar next to the pool too. They also had a playground for the kids! I love this idea. I hope they expand it/ fence it in tho so I can let the toddlers run free. Staff was great, good customer service from everyone we encountered especially reservationist and front desk. I also booked the room when there was a spring savings discount the price was amazing for 8 people to stay in one place. We did not go to restaurant, spa, golf course, hiking trails, or gym unfortunately no time so can’t review but awesome they have those ammenities. We will be back here again.” — Laura C., 5 stars

“Top stuff working on the bars Thank you yanni” — JAMES C., 5 stars

“Security verified numerous complaints from a few different rooms of excessive constant disruptive noise complaints lasting hours. Also verified marijuana smoke in stairways and room making constant disturbances, yet nothing done other than reminders. The noise from unruly kids running and jumping for hours should not have to be acceptable regardless if quiet hours begin at 10PM. when other peoples excessive noise disturbs others peace and enjoyment of other paying guests it should be immediately handled even if that includes making the offenders leave the hotel. Even if it’s before Quiet hours. Not exceptable When money matters more than others peace that explains all that needs to be known.” — Yep, 2 stars

"I've stayed here three times (once just before COVID) with my family and have been happy every time. Three different room set ups and all have been comfortable for a family of five. The pools are always clean and easy to access. I gave 4-stars for the location because it is off the beaten path (which is ideal to some) and will take you 15-20 minutes to get to a store or more for local attractions. This is a little hidden gem of a place that's not so little."

"Beautiful location and the place looks luxurious from the outside! The bed is a platform and it was as hard as a rock! The millions of dollars invested in this place and they couldn't invest in comfortable beds, 😤????!!! Your back will be sore if you're able to sleep! The TV is outdated and is poor quality, you have to rent a FireStick if you want to watch anything even decent! In room jacuzzi that it took a half hour just for the water to get warm. The bureau has a drawer that would not stay closed, the drawer would not stay closed and people must clean the rooms and no one notices the drawer wide open all the time!? There's only one chair in the room so if there's two of you one will have to sit on the board of a bed! Millions of dollars and not even a comfortable bed! Most people want to sleep on a comfortable bed!!!! The windows have bad drafts and if its windy you'll feel the cold air! Millions of dollars in luxury with no luxury! Someone is living in luxury and its not the patrons. The pictures of the jacuzzi are after using it 2 times! Gross! We were told that if we come back we could ask for a mattress topper, obviously they know the beds are bad. If you have to rent a FireStick and ask for a mattress topper to be comfortable what kind of resort is it!? Should be a hotel!"

"My family stayed here for the weekend. We stayed in the south location. The view was breathtaking. We enjoyed the smores by the fire and my toddler really enjoyed the kiddie pool area. All of the staff were friendly. We did attend a time share meeting, it was informative but not pushy. The only downfall of the stay was that the resort itself is very dark outside, I would recommend bringing a flash light as there were no lights outside on the patio area outside of our room."
