The Anchorage By The Sea
"Oceanfront resort on Shore Road with direct Marginal Way access, sunset lawns, and outdoor hot tubs, from $312/night."
About The Hotel
A large 4.3 oceanfront resort starting at $312 per night where the genuine location is the draw — you get sunrise and sunset over the Atlantic, direct access to the Marginal Way clifftop walk to Perkins Cove, and an on-site 360 restaurant. Rooms are spotless and well-appointed with ocean views; the pools, sauna, and outdoor hot tubs are excellent, and staff attention to details (robes, water bottles, all-day coffee) shows. The caveat is service inconsistency and pricing; housekeeping is by request, and several guests reported admin mix-ups or check-in issues. Value rates just 4.1 because you’re paying premium dollars primarily for the oceanfront.

What guests are saying about The Anchorage By The Sea.
"We had a great stay in our Marginal Way ocean front room. Roomy, clean, and comfy. Loved walking out to path and hearing the ocean from our room. Hotel had nice amenities and we enjoyed the hot tub and drinks and quick lunch at the restaurant on site. A bit pricey for time of year, but since it was Christmas by the Sea weekend, expected. Staff was nice and attentive as needed. Would definitely come back. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, and beach."

I enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival. Having a restaurant onsite is key. I only wish I could afford to stay here on season!"

View on Google"This hotel is perfectly situated directly on the rocky coast with easy access to the Marginal Way (Coastal walkway), downtown and dining. Rooms are average and basic but they are pristine and kept very clean. Restaurant and 360 Bar on-sight serving breakfast, lunch and dinner year round. Fresh coffee in the lobby very early in the mornings and hot cocoa and cookies served by the fireplace in the sitting room. Staff is attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return."
