“Bath Maine: Cabot Cove Maine, without the murder… My room – spacious, clean, a refreshing getaway. Overlooking the river, with a gentle breeze, a comfy chair, with a foot rest (which very few hotels offer). Perfect place to read a “Murder She Wrote” novel. The hotel itself: The staff is amazingly welcoming, like they are so glad you have come home! The front desk – Hazel and Sandy; housekeeping Molly and Candy. The breakfast has a wide selection of good breakfast foods and a very comfortable dining area, with plenty of seating. The town of Bath is charming visually, easy to waunder around, and very friendly. Some great places: Reny’s – a wonderful old fashioned department store, great variety, terrific prices; Fountain Ice Cream and Deli Shop – delicious choices of homemade foods; Corner Bookshop – with a fun selection of used books. I love hotels and, once I arrived, felt that warm welcome, I decided this trip? I would just soak up the relaxing atmosphere of hotel life. Best decision! “Landed in Maine for the first time and my first hotel stay was at the Hampton Inn Bath. Nice first impression. As a former Hospitality and Tourism instructor , I did many visits to hotels and properties in a resort town. I had to check on my interns and also meet with staff and owners to assist my students leaning and growth. Front of the house staff is key ! Penny was spot on at the front desk. Attentive the minute we walked in the door with a greeting and friendly smile. Efficient, helpful and personable . We had a room with a river view on the top floor. Room was clean, shower was hot, lots of space for our luggage, TV clear and easy to use, Walked into town for dinner - safe area - Penny gave us a recommendation for dinner and a sheet with other options too. “Stayed here as part of a room block for a family wedding. Easily some of the nicest and most helpful hotel staff we have ever encountered at a hotel — and we travel quite a bit. Our room was spacious and very comfortable for two. We were surprised by the amenities in the bathroom for a Hampton Inn - very well appointed! Breakfast was good, but if it didn’t suit your taste, there are more than enough options nearby - including a local market - as everything is very close and within walking distance. "Hampton Inn Bath (Brunswick Area) in Bath may be your best choice for hotel accommodation in the downtown area. It’s within easy walking distance from just about any place you want to be, including just steps from J.R. Maxwell & Co., perhaps the best restaurant in town. Our room was clean, comfortable, modern, and functional. Service desk attendants were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite good. Very much recommended."

View on Google"For this chain, this is an excellent example of doing things right. Front of house staff very helpful across several days and shifts. Thank you. Property very clean and tidy from inside to outside. Rooms spacious, very comfortable beds, low noise and if you choose a even numbered room you will get a view of the Kennebec river. Housekeeping thorough and detailed. right near the main commercial street and walking distance to the compact little downtown. I'd use this as base for mid-coast touring again. View on Google"Nice large room. Hotel has a nice entry. Very disappointed in the breakfast. They ran out of hard boiled eggs. The scrambled eggs were watery. Coffee was not hot. We came down 20 minutes before breakfast was over, but it didn't seem much was refreshed. Still a lot of people there. Hotel is across from the river. Great location."
