What Guests Are Saying
“We stayed 3 nights at the West Street hotel starting Labor Day Monday. We booked a suite overlooking West Street and the Harbor. We were actually upgraded to and even nicer room. The room was spacious, well equipped and the balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy this lovely place. They have a roof top infinity pool which was nice. We took our wine up but you can order drinks and food directly from the pool area. The staff was excellent, and we were greeted every time we came and went. Fin the dog was also a nice touch for us. The location is great and is just around the corner from the main street drag with shops and restaurants. The hotel has complimentary onsite parking. We really enjoy this hotel and highly recommend booking a stay.” — maddie59, 5 stars
“Our family of 4 stayed at West Street for 3 nights in July in a connecting rooms set up with a view of the Harbour. We had a fantastic stay - it is a boutique hotel and the room was top class, very modern and tastefully decorated. The connecting room set up was perfect so we could all be together as a family but also have some quiet time when we needed it. There was a drinks and snack station in the corridor with water, tea, coffee, fruit and some energy bars. The location of the hotel is brilliant, right in the heart of Bar Harbor near all the shops and restaurants and a short drive from Acadia National Park. A much better option than places outside of town given the challenge of finding parking spaces. The hotel has a private parking lot for guests. There is a swimming pool at the hotel which is adults only and was on top of the roof with a great view of the ocean. For the kids we were able to use the pool across the road at the sister hotel which was a decent size and a great option. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant but you could order food from nearby Paddy’s. Was not a huge deal as there are so many restaurants nearby - but if you want a lot of eating options in the hotel this probably won’t work for you. Overall a fantastic stay that I would definitely recommend, although be prepared to pay top dollar.” — JACKSONJE8, 4 stars
“We stayed here two nights, in a larger king room on the 4th floor with a patio looking onto the harbor. This is located right in town, so the Main Street is right below our view with the harbor across the street. I loved being within walking distance of town so as not to worry about a car. It was fun looking out the window to see all the ships in the harbor and people roaming around. The room was extremely nice, with a sitting area, and comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were modern and updated with a nautical feel. The hotel lobby was beautiful as well, and staff very friendly. Shout out to Leon, a bellhop, who was very helpful and friendly. He confirmed our choice of an excellent restaurant, Havana. Coffee bar was in the hall rather than the room, which I actually liked because it was very well stocked with coffee, tea, bottled water and fruit. It was a bit pricey, but would highly recommend.” — Annie, 5 stars

"I've photographed a number of weddings at Bar Harbor Inn, and no matter rain or shine it is such a lovely spot to host a wedding! The property is photogenic and overlooks the ocean, and their gardens are lush and blooming no matter the season. There are two different rooms to hose a wedding- the Porcupine room, which is perfect for intimate weddings and has a balcony, and the Reading Room, which is available on weekends for larger weddings. Acadia is close by if you'd like to have your ceremony in the park, or take couples portraits, and it's right in the heart of downtown, making it such an easy location for guests. And, the food is delicious! ig @katecrabtreephoto"

I'd like to mention Jermel on reception who made us feel very welcome and explained everything we needed to know. Outdoor pool was closed for the season 🥶 but the outdoor hot tubs were open and amazing. Breakfast was very good, free parking, and a very well kept hotel and grounds. This hotel is definitely not to be missed"

Once we arrived I was pleasantly surprised and realized we booked the best place in Bar Harbor. We had a room with an ocean view balcony. The service was exceptional. Omario, Errol, Patroi, Patricia and the people who cleaned our room went above and beyond. The gentleman at the front would save cookies for us every night . ( Yes, daily free freshly made cookies, free coffee, free blueberry lemonade and all day blueberry tea, free night-time, fire- pit smorees, and free continental breakfast). Patricia made a special pastry for us , after the initial serving was finished. The infinite pool, hot tubs are so refreshing after long mountain hikes. After our stay, I believe our rooms were well worth the cost because of the things I mentioned above. In addition, I do think the rooms could use an update and the carpet should be changed to vinyl, laminate or tile faux wood."
