What Guests Are Saying
“Sarah and Dax are lovely hosts. They communicate well, are exceptionally welcoming, and happily went the extra mile to make us comfortable. They renovated the Inn over the past few years, and it is spotless. The Inn’s ample porches and patios overlook the water. We ate breakfast outside and read books in the comfy chairs out there. The view is tremendous. Dax and Sarah do a fun, daily happy hour and encourage a friendly vibe. The yard and grounds are beautifully planted. A path leads down to the top of Cathedral Rock with a view of both sunrise and sunset, and private stairs lead down to the rocky beach, which is beautiful. Our room was comfortable and clean and a relaxing place to be. The inn is a beautiful place and great home base for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.” — Michael S., 5 stars

“We had an amazing stay at Inn at Bay Ledge! Sarah and Dax are great hosts. They accommodated our late check in & instructions were easy & clear. The next two mornings we enjoyed delicious breakfast to start our days. Dax gave us some great hiking & lobster roll recommendations! In the afternoon, we enjoyed some freshly baked sweets and a glass of wine for happy hour. You can’t beat the views from the inn. Make sure to take a walk down to the water for a truly breathtaking experience. We stayed in a dog friendly room so our dog Luna could join us. Bar Harbor is especially dog friendly, so she had a great time out and about! The inn is cute, cozy & tidy. It’s really everything you could possibly want! We definitely recommend staying here for a perfect weekend enjoying all Bar Harbor & Acadia have to offer!” — Erin K., 5 stars

View on Google"A perfect stay. Dax and Sarah are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything to make the inn feel like home away from home. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the shared spaces, like the back porch, were so inviting. And the view! Truly nothing beats a morning on the private cliff watching the sunrise and the seals and dolphins in the bay. We also loved walking the beaches every day. The happy hour treats and breakfast were incredible. Dax and Sarah were conscious of food allergies too, giving me extra peace of mind. The location is perfect if you’re planning to go to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Be sure to also stop by the Lobster Pound for dinner — it’s down the road from the Inn with a great food and a fun atmosphere. We had such a peaceful stay, and I missed everything about the inn as soon as we left. Can’t recommend enough!"

View on Google"For our first visit to Maine, my husband and I wanted to explore areas near Acadia National Park and stay nearby. After lots of research, we chose the Inn at Bay Ledge due to its convenient location, 5 Star reviews and amazing views. Many B&B's are not right on the water or have such amazing views like this wonderful Inn. The Inn and Bay Ledge has a path that you walk down, including several sets of wooden stairs, that lead you to a rocky/gravel path and the most spectacular cliff with an ocean created arch. It was tranquil, breathtaking and memorable. Dax and Sarah were attentive to all of the fine details. Check in is at 4 pm. We arrived before that and they allowed us to drop off our luggage and we proceeded to explore the area. Upon check-in we were greeted by happy hour with homemade cookies and drinks. For our fabulous breakfast, the next morning we were served muffins, yogurt parfaits, eggs, and a selection of teas or coffee. One morning we had a yummy French toast dish. We love the experience of a B&B where you meet people from all over. We shared a table with another couple and learned all about their trips to the area. Many have been here before and have recommendations on where to dine and sight-see. We will come back for sure to enjoy the lovely inn that Dax and Sarah created!"
