Heathwood Inn
"Budget jacuzzi option from $211/night with large in-room tubs, free parking, and countryside quiet, but recent reviews are mixed."
About The Hotel
From $211/night, Heathwood Inn is the lowest in-room jacuzzi rate in Bar Harbor and appeals to budget-minded travelers prioritizing a big tub and low rate over atmosphere. The 4.5 lifetime rating masks mixed recent feedback: clean, spacious rooms with large whirlpools and countryside quiet are genuine perks, but dated furnishings, noisy AC units, thin walls, and contactless/often-absent hosts have frustrated recent guests. The breakfast is a voucher redeemed off-site, not served at the inn, and the location several miles from town means a car is essential. Set modest expectations, book for the jacuzzi, and recognize you’re trading service consistency and modern comfort for the rock-bottom price.
What Guests Are Saying
“Very comfortable, everything was perfect! Location was great, away from the hustle of the city! The shuttle to Acadia picks up at the end of the driveway also. In room coffee was pretty good, plenty of amenities. Highly recommended!” — KorenNjoy, 5 stars
“There were positives and negatives with our stay here. We booked Eden and our room was beautiful and the jacuzzi tub…amazing! Everything was clean, there were nice, cozy robes in the room and a cool fireplace/heater on the wall that gave a nice romantic ambiance. Plenty of parking in the back. Because of covid, there is no breakfast served which we were fine with and completely understand. The owners have contactless check-in and check out, so we didn’t see them at all. We didn’t like the fact that they leave the inn lobby door unlocked 24/7. It was our anniversary and they left us a baggy of trail mix and a few hersheys minis which was kind, but then I got an email to book our next anniversary with them and we’d get roses and/or a chocolate tray. Would have been nice to get that our first stay. We were surprised that the owners didn’t reach out at all, text or in person to see if we needed anything. We stayed for 4 nights and nothing. We ran into a guy on property who said hi from a distance, but didn’t say who he was or talk to us about our stay so we weren’t sure if he was an owner. So, overall pros and cons with this inn.” — Jasmine0577, 3 stars

View on Google"Highly recommend! Everything you need in a very comfortable environment! We stayed in the master room and had plenty of space to walk around, the bathroom was spacious, the bed was super comfy... the in room coffee is good too! The location was great, a short drive to Acadia... we found out the last day that the free park bus picks up at the end of the driveway! Also got to meet Lena for a quick moment, delightful lady with a great story!"
