What Guests Are Saying

“I enjoyed this hotel. It was close to everything we wanted to see without being in the middle of traffic easy to get in easy to get out. Another thing I noticed is even in our rooms. It was quiet. I didn’t hear a lot of noise inside of the hotel.” — gtiern869217, 5 stars

“We were in Shipshewana for a show at the Bluegate Theater. Rooms in hotels closer to the theater were prohibitively priced, so we decided to make the short drive to the Van Buren. Enjoyed our stay.” — Rhonda H., 5 stars

“Have stayed here several times, a couple of times with my dog. The hotel staff, rooms, location and cost bring me back to this beautiful hotel. Will be back in the fall.” — Connie E., 5 stars

"The VanBuren Hotel is really nice. Cleanliness was amazing, I was shocked, even all of the ceiling vents were clean . Beds were comfortable . They have 3 separate sitting areas , one with a fireplace, one with a television where you can socialize or play cards or games. Swimming pool, exercise room has a treadmill and an exercise bike so it is small but efficient. Coin laundry on premises has one washer, one dryer but there is also a laundry mat across the street. Breakfast is included and was excellent. Scrambled eggs, sausage , biscuits and gravy, waffles, assortment of breads and pastries, cereals, juices , coffee, tea. A very enjoyable stay !"

"I was attending a concert at the Blue Gate Theater for Mannheim Steamroller so I needed a hotel to stay in and my parents recommended this hotel. My parents came with me but stayed in a separate room. Overall, the room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good the next morning. I would stay here again when I'm in the area."

"Service lacked a little at the front counter, but it was honestly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. It's quiet and laid out very well. Free wifi and plenty of light. Only thing is there was a lack of outlets in good locations. Made it difficult to charge our phones but we made due. Pool was very nice and the room was amazing."
