About The Hotel

The Yellowwood is a 3.7-rated (29 reviews) small property at 911 Sams Hill Rd, on wooded acres outside Nashville. Hot tub is listed among amenities and one 5-star anniversary guest called it ‘a great bonus.’ But candid flags dominate: a 1-star reported an 11:10 PM lockout with a toddler and newborn with no one reachable at the property, a 3-star flagged pitch-black grounds with no exterior lights and cracked unpaved road, and a 3-star ‘funeral home’ review noted no bath robes provided for lounging after a hot-tub dip. A small property with beautiful setting but real service and condition issues — verify contact and access before booking.

What Guests Are Saying

“Last minute anniversary trip with my wife. Honestly didn’t know what to expect. Older hotel, but very clean, comfortable and enjoyable. Hot tub was a great bonus. Our contact Lynn was great to deal with. We will book again next time we stay in nashville. Thanks for everything.” — Marc S., 5 stars

“My husband and I wanted a quick overnight getaway away from kids to get out of the house after 10 weeks of quarantine. We stayed in suite #1. Our room was lovely, close to restaurants & wineries, and had everything you needed for a relaxing evening. We highly suggest Hard Truth for dinner!! The hot tub was 107 degrees when we got there, which was too much for us. We turned it down and enjoyed it after it cooled down. You can even adjust the tv to watch in the hot tub if you are interested. We also were excited to see they had corkscrew in the room for us to enjoy the wine we bought in town. The only bad things were the room smelled a little musty when we arrived. We figured some of that would happen with a hot tub in the room. Also,in the morning we woke up to wants crawling all over the sink area and table in the kitchen. The ants were all over our toothbrushes. So we packed up and went home early. Other than that, it was a lovely stay. We would come back again and suggest it to friends!” — K. F., 4 stars

“We stayed in suite 3 for one night. It looks recently updated. Very clean. We loved the decor and in room hot tub. We couldn’t figure out the room temperature system and someone came to help us minutes after a text. Our only constructive criticism was that the hot tub jets were very weak. Almost non existent. And the water pressure in the shower was lacking but overall we loved our little getaway.” — OutdoorGirlNurse, 4 stars

"Shampoo and condition were provided. No spare toliet paper rolls were provided. We stayed in Suite #1. The door needs realigned, so it's easier to open. Another car decided to park next to us, which made it difficult for my husband to easily back into parking spot reserved for our suite on the side of the building! Bed was comfy though. Love the secluded entrance. Very lovely scenery to look at through the windows."
