Cabins & Candlelight is the town's destination — a 33-acre adults-only retreat along Sugar Creek with two private cabins, each with an in-cabin whirlpool tub and 15-foot stone fireplace. The property is the point of the visit; most guests never leave the acreage for the length of their stay.
Sugar Creek runs past the cabin property and continues 30 minutes west into Turkey Run State Park — a marquee Indiana state park where Sugar Creek carves sandstone canyons through hemlock-shaded ravines. Shades State Park just south of Turkey Run holds another set of sandstone cliffs and prairie savanna along the same creek system.
Purdue University in West Lafayette is 30 minutes north via I-65 — home of Purdue football, the Loeb-Purdue Union, and the Bell Tower. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is 50 minutes south, and the state capital's museum row is an hour away for a midweek day trip.
Clinton County carries a scatter of surviving covered bridges from Indiana's pre-WWII bridge-building era, and Sugar Creek canoeing puts you on the same water that carves Turkey Run's canyons 30 minutes downstream. There is more within easy reach — Frankfort, IN county-seat courthouse square 15 minutes east, and Lafayette downtown 30 minutes north. Spring runs the creek full and greens the acreage, summer opens screened-porch evenings, fall is peak color on the 33 wooded acres, and winter is the fireplace-and-whirlpool season the cabins were designed for. Seasonal highlights include Cabins & Candlelight anniversary bookings (year-round), Turkey Run fall foliage (October, 30 minutes west), Purdue football weekends in Lafayette (September–November).
