What guests are saying about Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu:
"We first went to Kauai 11 years ago for our anniversary and wanted to return 5 years later, but then covid hit. Fast forward 11 years and instead of staying at the Grand Hyatt as we did the first time, we stayed at Koloa Landing and WOW are we glad we did! The entrance and lobby area are iconic Hawaii and so beautiful. The service is top-notch, and their villas are simply outstanding! In our room were some complimentary chocolate-covered macadamia nuts and a beautiful logo beach bag. We could not believe the quality of the furnishings and fantastic amenities. There was a full kitchen, living room with a big screen tv, king bed in the separate bedroom with its own tv, one bathroom with a sink and tub and another with the sink, toilet and shower which let us spread out and both get ready at the same time. There was beautiful artwork and photos in every room. What was so appreciated was the washer dryer combo and laundry detergent that was included in the villa, (and I guess even the regular rooms all have washers and dryers too which is fantastic.) We had visited the Big Island before arriving and packed light hoping to do some laundry while we were there. How nice that we didn't have to leave our room to do it! I loved the villa's beautiful woodwork, the quality of the doors and screens, and how they slid back and forth without barely a sound! Once you closed them, it completely shut out the noise from the outside. We did not hear anyone else while we were inside our unit. The swimming pool is amazing, for sure. I would just say the adult infinity pool needs more indoor/outdoor rugs, because I fell after getting out by the steps and walking to my chaise lounge. Thankfully I was not badly injured. We enjoyed great service, good food and drinks at the HoloHolo Grill. Nice menu, not too gourmet, and the prices seemed reasonable considering where we were. Leilani, Carla, and Dustin were excellent servers/bartender. This place has thought of everything you would possibly want or need on vacation. There's a spa, a little store, and a workout room which we did not use. This has become our favorite hotel we've ever stayed at - anywhere!! We hope to return one day and certainly a lot sooner than 11 years!"

View on Google"We stayed at Kōloa Landing for 11 nights over Thanksgiving. It’s a large resort with multiple pool areas spread across the property. Since we were traveling without kids, we spent most of our time at the Tranquility Pool—an adults-only area tucked behind Building 7. It’s a peaceful spot with waterfalls, a heated jacuzzi, and convenient BBQ grills. Families will likely love the main pool area, which is enormous and packed with features—waterfalls, play zones, and waterslides. Our apartment was excellent. It had everything needed for self-catering, and while we received light daily service such as towel refresh and trash removal, the staff also provided a full cleaning every third day — ideal for a longer stay. We did our grocery shopping at Safeway in Lihue and enjoyed several of the island’s food trucks, which worked perfectly with having a well-equipped kitchen. The location is another major advantage. We could easily walk to The Shops at Kukui‘ula and grabbed coffee at Lappert’s nearly every morning. Poipu Beach—with its unforgettable turtle sightings—is also within walking distance (around 30 minutes). The Spouting Horn and the charming town of Kōloa are just a short drive away, and having a car made exploring the island convenient and enjoyable. We tried the on-site restaurant for lunch one day and had burgers. It wasn’t our favorite meal on the island, and the service felt a bit tired that day, so we chose not to return. Overall, Kōloa Landing is a fantastic base for exploring Kauai — especially if you value space, great pools, and a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

All of the employees were friendly and helpful, especially Nani and the girls at the front desk, Caleb and Jocelyn at the pool, and Dustin at the bar. The rooms were clean and well appointed. And the pool was gorgeous. It kept our two children (10 and 12) busy and entertained while we relaxed in the loungers. The location was perfect for what we needed. We would absolutely stay here again."
