About The Hotel

Tucked away in the heart of Waikiki, this Hilton resort offers a mixed bag of relaxation and vacation vibes. If you’re hunting for an in-room hot tub experience, you might find some rooms have whirlpool tubs that can help you unwind after a day of beach adventures. Not every room has this feature, so you’ll want to specifically request a suite with a Jacuzzi when booking.

Guests really like this place, sitting at a solid 3.8 out of 5 on TripAdvisor. It ranks #72 out of 108 Honolulu hotels, which means it’s decent but not top-tier. The resort offers plenty of extras like multiple pools, beach access, and room service. For hot tub lovers, the in-room options are limited, so manage your expectations.

The best part about this hotel is its location. You’re right on Waikiki Beach, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and Hawaiian culture. If a private hot tub is your top priority, you might want to look at other hotels. But if you’re okay with a potential in-room whirlpool and want a solid resort experience, this Hilton could work for your tropical getaway.

"I stayed 7 nights for work and had a great experience overall. The location is a huge highlight, it’s easy to get to/from the airport, and the property is basically a small resort “village” with lots of onsite shopping and restaurants, so everything you need is right there. I stayed in the Rainbow Tower and loved it. My room felt recently remodeled, had plenty of space, and the view was fantastic, I could see the water and the luau. I also appreciated the smart little touches (like extra hanging hooks around the mirror), which made it easy to stay organized during a longer stay. Check-in was a bit hectic with a big wave of guests arriving at the same time from flights, but it still ran fairly smoothly and the staff were consistently kind and friendly. Food and drink options were solid, ranging from waterfront casual to more upscale. I definitely recommend stopping by the nicer spot in the Rainbow Tower for a drink, they made a delicious cocktail. Also: two Starbucks onsite is a win. I didn’t make it to the gym since it’s in a different building, but there’s a wonderful running path right outside the resort, which was perfect. If you’re Hilton Diamond, the resort credits were a nice bonus and helped offset costs. Only real downside: the shower. The shower itself is actually great (perfect size, nice features like a lower bar that’s super helpful for shaving, space for toiletries, and you can easily reach your towels), but the hot water took a while to kick in, especially once the resort got busier toward the weekend. I’d absolutely stay here again, especially for the location and the Rainbow Tower experience."

"We stayed 6 nights in the Rainbow tower - we were upgraded from the Tapa tower & it was amazing to wake right above the beach. The rooms have been very recently renovated & were immaculate & spacious. There was a large conference on whilst we were staying (7,000 delegates) which made line ups at peak times just too long so we used other coffee shops & restaurants outside the village instead. Check in at 11.30pm took 45mins. Prices are very high for everything particularly along the beach. Same items can often be purchased much cheaper in the shopping centres nearby. Wonderful stay, shout out to Mary-Lou who serviced our room. Thank you Hilton!"

"Sure! Here's a glowing review for Tropics Bar and Grill at Hilton Hawaiian Village: --- ### 🌺 Review of Tropics Bar and Grill 🌺 I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tropics Bar and Grill during my stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village, and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience! Our server, Lisa, was an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a smile and genuine warmth, making us feel right at home. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our dining experience. We decided to try the Steak and Eggs and the Loco Moco, and wow, they did not disappoint! The Steak and Eggs were cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The Loco Moco was a delightful blend of textures and tastes, making it a perfect comfort food choice. Both dishes were beautifully presented and served at just the right temperature. The service was impeccable throughout our visit. Our drinks were always full, and Lisa checked in regularly to ensure everything was perfect without being intrusive. We also enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, with its beautiful views and soothing atmosphere that truly captured the essence of Hawaii. All in all, if you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience with great food, excellent service, and minimal wait times, I highly recommend Tropics Bar and Grill. Thank you, Lisa, for making our visit amazing."
