Guests really like this place, ranking it #47 out of 108 Honolulu hotels on TripAdvisor with a solid 4.1 rating. The in-room hot tubs are a big reason why. "Hilton Grand Vacations Club The Grand Islander Waikiki Honolulu is an ideal destination for a family getaway, and it perfectly suited our group of five. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the front desk set the tone for a truly memorable stay. The staff was attentive and thoughtful, always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made us feel completely cared for. Our suite was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The elegant design and comfortable layout provided plenty of room for everyone to relax. Large windows offered breathtaking views of Waikiki’s coastline and lush surroundings, adding a touch of romance to the atmosphere. Dining was another highlight. Every meal we tried was fresh and delicious, showcasing a variety of flavors that pleased both adults and children. Whether enjoying breakfast by the pool or dinner with a sunset view, the food consistently impressed us. The overall setting of the resort is stunning—tropical gardens, shimmering pools, and easy beach access create a peaceful and luxurious escape. We enjoyed every moment, from morning swims to evening walks under the stars. Our stay at The Grand Islander was truly unforgettable, combining excellent service, exceptional food, and a beautiful environment. I highly recommend it for families seeking a relaxing and romantic vacation in Honolulu."

"Rooms are a bit outdated, BUT, you can not beat the location. The beach is steps away, the shopping, the happy hours, the food, the service and the access to the spa and gym are what makes this place great. And I was barely in my room due to all the activities in the area, holiday markets, shows, entertainment (at the Hawaiian Center in the mall), but the location is great. Not to mention, stop by the 7/11 (like a 09 minute walk) for some snacks you won't be able to get anywhere else, don't say I didn't tell you). And the beach had everts as well. Surf lessons and services for umbrellas and chairs. The kids loves the pool area and again, easily walkable to anything you could want and the tour of pickk ups. Did I mention, they had a Peloton bike availeb for my workout. ☺️ I had an amazing time."

"This is such a magical place! We’ve traveled all over and are now old enough to be sailing into the sunset and this place is a perfect landing spot! We can walk everywhere, no need for a car. Uber and Biking (and walking!) get you everywhere you need. City, beach, restaurants, stores, food - all readily available. You will need to buy your own chairs and umbrella, though, because they ‘rent’ these out at highway robbery prices of $85/day! No worries, because Walmart is close and you can get your own for way less than that~ People often leave their chairs for the next group coming in, so maybe you’ll be the lucky ones who get virtually new chairs to enjoy!"
