What guests are saying about Best Western Savannah Historic District:
"Great hotel right where you want to be in Savannah. We were just a 3 minute walk to the riverfront. Hotel was clean and the grounds were as tidy as they could be. It is on a busy pedestrian corner and let's face it more than half of humans are just lazy and throw stuff on the ground. We traveled with out 60lb pet and the room was just great. It was very roomy and clean. I wish it did not have carpet, but hey I can wish right? Breakfast was just okay - I have had much better breakfasts and other hotels. The coffee comes from a pouch in a machine. I don't know why but I could not get behind that. It did not taste on par and the creamer options were garbage. The breakfast was the same the entire time we were there. I have never had that happen, usually each day the options rotate. It was just a cooked egg round (not scrambled up) and it was that every dang day with sausage and biscuits and gravy. I think one day we did have super crispy bacon that just shredded when you picked it up. Thankfully Savannah is FULL of coffee houses with assortments of breakfast options. So if you are booking because of the full breakfast that is included just know what you are getting into. The breakfast area was really nice and the staff were great. The hotel on the whole was great - and having such an easy pet policy when you are in the most pup friendly city was a perk. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that I did wish there was more of was green space around the hotel to potty your pets. We had to walk a few blocks to get to grass - not a huge deal but when its 11pm and you need to take them out, it can be inconvenient."

The rooms were average and generally comfortable, but they could use better cleaning and some maintenance. A few areas needed touch-ups, and some items showed rust and wear. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep, the rooms would be much better. Overall, it was a good stay, mainly thanks to the great front desk service."
