About The Hotel

The Hilton Garden Inn Tallahassee Central is a 3-star recently-renovated Hilton at 1330 Blairstone Road on Tallahassee’s east side near Governor’s Square Mall and I-10 Exit 209 (Capital Circle SE). Rated 3.9 across 780 reviews with cleanliness 4.2, location 4.4, rooms 4.1, service 4.2, sleep quality 4.1 and value 3.9. Amenities include a pool, on-site Garden Grille restaurant and bar, fitness center with gym, pet-friendly rooms (dog/pet friendly), children activities, business center with internet access, free parking and free high-speed WiFi. About 15 minutes west of the Florida State Capitol, downtown Tallahassee, FSU campus and Doak Campbell Stadium via Apalachee Parkway; about 15 minutes northeast of Tallahassee International Airport via Capital Circle SW; about 20 minutes northwest of Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park via Thomasville Road; about 30 minutes north of Wakulla Springs State Park via US-319. A 4-star recent guest called it ‘a nice hotel, very recently renovated. Room and lobby area were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful,’ though the same guest flagged ‘no way to plug in’ devices and a ‘not great’ mattress. Candid 1-2 star recent flags include ‘damp bedding’ (one 2-star guest ‘had to HAIR DRY MY PILLOWS’), AC/thermostat control (‘set for 65 deg and the room’ stayed hot), and one 3-star guest reporting the room and elevators ‘stank’ and no complimentary breakfast. Not a marketed in-room-jacuzzi property; the tub story here is pool-only. Best for Florida State Capitol government-business travelers, FSU/FAMU parents wanting a Hilton-loyalty option 15 minutes east of campus, I-10 through-travelers between Jacksonville and Pensacola, and Governor’s Square shoppers.

What Guests Are Saying

“My mother stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Blairstone Road in Tallahassee FL. It was an unexpected stay in Tallahassee due to an emergency. She was not sure how many nights she would stay. It was a very late check-in and after having an issue with the room she addressed the concerns with Lauren the following morning. Lauren was professional, courteous and displayed empathy regarding the situation. She went above and beyond to ensure there were no issues with my departure and offered a warm breakfast. She also ensured my concerns are to be addressed with upcoming renovations. If it was possible to clone Lauren my mother would do so and have a Lauren at every Hilton hotel. OUTSTANDING JOB LAUREN!!!” — Roving65014756500, 5 stars

“We spent five nights here last week and already booked another stay for this coming weekend. We are relocating to Tallahassee and this hotel is so accommodating and the staff is amazing. The room is cool and comfortable the shower is out of this world! I loved the pool I love the outside seating area to hang out in the evenings and have some drinks. It’s in a great location close to everything we need, that’s why I’m staying there again in 2 days!!” — Floridababy25, 5 stars

“The hotel is very clean and the staff are so friendly. Ruben was very humble and provided us with excellent service. We enjoyed the bar/restaurant every night; highly recommend getting their pancakes. We enjoyed the friendliness of all staff and guests while at the bar. We definitely will be staying here again when we come back to Tallahassee!!” — Dena P., 5 stars

"Austin at the front desk as well as all staff working the front desk were so kind and professional. Stephen (food and beverage) was awesome and so helpful too! The hotel was clean and decorated for the big FSU/Alabama game this past weekend. Very cheerful and inviting! My family and I always stay here and this is why… our home away from home. Thank you- well done! Once again a great stay with a wonderful staff! Update: Nov. 2025 Once again another great experience. The staff are the stars! This time it was Mr. Tommy who stole my heart. ❤️ So kind and helpful he was. Also wonderful and worth noting: Susan, Amber, Clark, Steven and Lauren. The people make this hotel what it is… nothing beats GREAT customer service! ‼️"

"A nice enough hotel--not fabulous but perfectly nice for most purposes. I was given the option to choose my own room and was very happy with it, quite spacious. Lauren at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Only strange thing was the complete lack of housekeeping service. I was only staying for two nights, so not a huge deal, and I'm sure Lauren would have given me extra towels or whatever if needed. But this could be problematic for those who expect to have their bed made, fresh towels, etc., each day."

"It's a pretty decent hotel. It's not the Greatest Garden Inn, but it's also not the worst. The staff is probably what makes this hotel very nice. All the staff members have been super nice, knowledgeable (about the area) and highly helpful. The rooms are a little dated, but overall it's a nice little hotel. If you need a room in a convenient location, that doesn't break the bank, I'd definitely recommend this location. Id give 4.5 out of 5 if I could. But 4 seems reasonable."
