Magnolia Pointe BW Signature Collection
"The 4.5 Ascend Collection value alternative (formerly Magnolia Pointe BW Signature) with candid 1-star Magnolia-era flags in the 271-review base."
About The Hotel
Caretta Landing Sarasota, an Ascend Collection Hotel is a 4.5-rated (271 reviews) recently rebranded property at 5965 Brookhill Blvd — formerly Magnolia Pointe, BW Signature Collection — on Sarasota’s southeast side, 15 minutes from downtown and 25 minutes from Siesta Key. Amenities include free parking, a pool, free breakfast, fitness center, kids-stay-free and windsurfing/aerobics offsite. Subratings run reasonable: 4.7 cleanliness, 4.6 location, 4.6 rooms, 4.7 service, 4.6 sleep quality, 4.5 value across 271 reviews. CANDID FLAGS from the Magnolia Pointe era (still mixed into the 271-review base since the rebrand): a 1-star titled ‘A huge disappointment’ flagged the promised two-queen bed suite actually being a basic hotel room; a 1-star titled ‘This cheap, dirty and bare bones this is below anything I would recommend’ called the property ‘a dump’ and compared it unfavorably to Days Inn; a 2-star from a longtime Best Western customer flagged a bad stay experience versus the neighboring Ameniti Best Western property. Recent 5-stars praise a specific breakfast staff member (Ms Yakeline) by name for outstanding service. A candid mid-market value alternative to the Carlisle Inn — read the historic Magnolia Pointe 1-star flags carefully before booking, and note the rebrand is still fresh enough that reviews reflect both experiences. Not an in-room jacuzzi property.
What Guests Are Saying
“A real gem of find as this hotel has everything you would need but most important was it’s cleanliness. Housekeeping here is just perfect. Ultra quiet rooms and easy access to and from I-75. Also only 4 miles from the Mall at Univercity on Fruitville rd which you access direct from hotel by going North on Cattlemen Rd. Great swimming pool and ready meals avaliable to pop in microwave in room which also has fridge. Perfect all round. Front of house staff so helpful and breakfast was amazing with hot choice, fresh fruit, and an amazing pancake machine!!!!” — Neil C., 5 stars
“Fabulous stay with super friendly and helpful staff, very clean and neat location, and comfortable surroundings. From the soft towels, to the fantastic shower pressure, to the comfortable bed, this was our favorite stay out of our last four hotels (all Hilton brand). Thanks, BW; we look forward to our next stay with you!” — Kathy D., 5 stars

"Pretty new hotel. Very clean. Rooms like new. Courteous staff. Smooth check in. Descent continental breakfast. There was no muffins! The pool is across the parking lot, maybe an issue for some people, not for me."
— Ernesto Vazquez Vazquez
View on Google"The room was spacious and very clean and pleasant. All hotel personnel were gracious, pleasant, helpful and professional. Clearly management has trained them all well. Kudos! Price was great too!"

View on Google"The hotel was new, clean, nice, and good location close to plenty of food/shopping options and the freeway. The only real negative was the noise. My room on the top floor you could hear all footsteps in the hall and rooms next door, like it was someone stomping around above you. I'd that wouldn't be an issue it's a great place."
