About The Hotel
Carlisle Inn is a 4.9-rated (514 reviews) Sarasota standout hospitality property at 3727 Bahia Vista St — part of the Amish Country Inns brand family (Berlin OH and Sugarcreek OH sister properties). Sits in Sarasota’s Pinecraft Amish-Mennonite community neighborhood, 15 minutes from downtown Sarasota, 20 minutes from St. Armands Circle, and 22 minutes from Siesta Key Beach. Amenities include a pool, free breakfast, free parking, fitness center, business center, and complimentary homemade cookies served in the late afternoon and early evening. Subratings run near-perfect and lead the city: 5.0 cleanliness, 4.7 location, 4.9 rooms, 4.9 service, 4.9 sleep quality, 4.8 value across 514 reviews. Reviewers repeatedly praise spotless housekeeping (‘spacious and spotless’), the kind and friendly front-desk staff, the peaceful and quiet atmosphere, the well-kept pool area with cornhole, and the homemade cookies. A quieter, cleaner, hospitality-first alternative to Sarasota’s beach-resort tier — the marquee for travelers who want a genuinely warm inn experience over a Gulf resort. Not an in-room jacuzzi property, but the 5.0 cleanliness and 4.9 service scores are the top in Sarasota.

“What an Amazing Place. My wife and I stayed here for four nights on our recent vacation to the Sarasota area. I cannot begin to say enough good things about this amazing place. The staff is warm, friendly and professional. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcome. The facilities and rooms are clean, very well maintained and comfortable. The pool/hot tub area relaxing and refreshing. The breakfast was wonderful and a great way to start the day. Access to the Legacy Trail, right next door was a bonus was well. The location far enough from things to be quite and relaxing, but close enough that Siesta Key Beach and St. Armands Circle an easy drive. A big shout out to Janet and the entire staff, you all hit it out of the park. We will definitely return.” — Tim J., 5 stars
“Everything about our stay was exceptional. From the minute we walked in, the staff was courteous and helpful. Complementary homemade cookies are available in the late afternoon/early evening. The hotel is located basically in the middle of Sarasota, making it a perfect location to explore any part of the city you choose. Spotlessly clean with a nice lounge area, workout facilities, and a pool. Included small breakfast buffet in the morning eliminating the need to buy the first meal of the day out (although their Amish restaurant in front of the hotel has an amazing breakfast buffet too). Cozy beds, large bathrooms, and plenty of space to spread out while you’re there.” — KMB_GA, 5 stars
“My husband and I stayed one night at the Carlisle. We were immediately greeted by Shannon, all smiles. We were offered fresh cookies, given recommendations for dinner and personally showed to the elevators. Our room was large, clean and quiet. Beds comfy. Our breakfast was included, which was buffet loaded with fresh baked goods and fresh eggs, meats, cereal and the usual breakfast drinks. It was good. Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was pretty perfect!” — JulesinRHE, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Carlisle Inn.
"This is by far the most peaceful, beautiful, and immaculate hotel we have ever stayed in! From the moment we walked in, we could feel the peace of this place. From the relaxing instrumental Christian music playing, to the kindness of the staff. The rooms are spacious, and pristine and have all the basic amenities you would need. Even the air smells good! The Der Dutchman next door is delicious as well and just as immaculate. They also have (delicious) cookies from their bakery next door available in the lobby every afternoon! My only complaint is that the mattresses are on the firm side, which isn't good if you are a side sleeper like me. However the rest of my family slept great! If we're ever back in Sarasota, we will definitely be back!"

Becky always makes us feel welcome, and we have stayed here over six times in the last few years for either family vacation or for business in the area. The rooms are very clean, and the morning breakfast is a big hit with our family and with others. The exercise room is well-appointed, and it has its own bathroom and shower which makes it very convenient when visiting that space. We have not made use of the conference facilities, but they get used a lot by others and the conferences do not get in the way of the guest stay experience. The swimming pool is located off the dining area, and it has access through a hallway that has a laundry room and two pool changing rooms/bathrooms. The pool furniture and umbrellas are high-quality, and they are solidly built. Towels are provided for guests just outside the hotel's south entrance that services the pool area. There is a busy family restaurant located only feet from the hotel, Der Dutchman, and this buffet-style restaurant has take-out. The facility is something we visit nearly every time we visit the Carlisle. We look forward to our next stay at this fine hotel."
