Calypso Cay Resort
"The 3.1 Calypso Cay off US 192 — spacious apartments and big pool with candid safety flags."
About The Hotel
Calypso Cay Resort is a 3.1-rated (553 reviews) mid-tier apartment-condo resort at 4951 Calypso Cay Way with pool complex, free breakfast, kids activities and clothes-dryer/self-serve laundry. Subratings are soft across the board (cleanliness 3.4, rooms 3.4, service 3.4, value 3.4) with location 4.1 as the bright spot. CANDID FLAGS: a 1-star flagged a 1:30 AM door-kicking incident on July 5 with the family in the section unable to reach help, and enforcement of 10 PM quiet hours faulted. A 3-star noted dust in the bathroom walls and under everything in the apartment, and a poor sofa bed. Positive 5-stars praised the pool areas, R&R vibe and welcoming Front Desk. Pool-and-apartment resort rather than in-room jacuzzi.
What Guests Are Saying
“Stayed here twice and never had a problem, the apartment is large and airy, the rooms are clean and the kitchen well kitted out with a little welcome package of coffee and cleaning products, the apartment has a laundry room within it and detergent was provided, plenty of towels and pool towels. The pools are lovely and maintenance crews are constantly working to keep the areas nice. Theres a wawa a 5 min walk with no crossing the road to get drinks, coffee and snack and plenty of restaurants a five min drive away. We have not had an issue with pushy timeshare staff, each time just collected our parking passes and gone, they also put new films on by the pool at night which is nice to relax with. The only negative would be that there was a bit of noise from the apartment above but thats to be expected.” — Gemma W., 5 stars
“Loved loved loved Calypso Cay and it’s SUPERB commitment to excellence at every turn! First, the Front Desk staff is professional, polite and greet you each morning with a smile and great attitude! The apartment units are impeccably clean and spacious, the LANDSCAPING is second to none and it was quiet and relaxing without ever feeling boring… I brought a book, listened to all my favorite tunes, using my headphones at the pool and felt like I was 1,000,000 miles from home. Shout out to that front desk team…they’ll remember me as the person who loves Puerto Rico! But hey, Calypso Cay felt like a tropical getaway! I hope to return many times…to be surrounded by such beauty in a safe and well-maintained property was a PLEASURE! 🏆” — Amy T., 5 stars
“After reading the reviews I was super nervous to stay here. I honestly don’t know why there is so many bad reviews! Our one bedroom was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The pool, hot tub, and basketball court was right by our room also. We really enjoyed our stay and would be back” — Kaylee2949, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Calypso Cay Resort.
"This was a great resort value for the reasonable price we paid. The 3 bedroom villa was huge. Everything was very clean, the appliances were relatively new and the kitchen was well stocked with new cooking utensils, etc. The resort amenities are nice and well cared for. Plenty of activities for kids and adults alike. Some of the amenities were "out-of-order" but we were told the resort was just purchased by Capital Vacations and is about to be renovated. Not sure if that is true or not, but the rooms and facilities are pretty nice as they are already."

We were told we had to do a owners visit (1 hour) no choice. When we didn't know. When we went to the meeting the guy was pleasant but tried to sell us more. It seems like every time we go they want deeper in our pocket. He also told us we didn't need to attend the meeting."
