The bathroom fixtures are nice. Old beautiful tile throughout the building. Nice, big slider windows lead to the porch. Absolutely beautiful views. Staff was very friendly.’ A repeat 5-star guest wrote ‘We had a great time while staying at the Cove for 5 nights. The staff was super friendly and a good source of local information. Did have a problem in our original room and they moved us to another room right away.’ Candid 1-star flags include ‘Run down and overpriced. The resort needs a major remodel, and way overpriced. They need to put some effort into bringing it into the 21st century. The bar and restaurant were closed down, and the room was very dated and cheaply decorated’ and ‘I would NOT recommend this place. The bathroom was unacceptable and disgusting. Rusty shower head, rusty hinges, cracks and chips in the shower, plaster over a hole, rusty knobs, painted blue and red on knobs.’ Book only for value-first Keys visitors accepting the property’s condition and the closed on-site bar and restaurant.

What Guests Are Saying

“Had my 50th birthday party there last night. They were able to accommodate 50 of us without an issue. The place is perfect for any events. Beautiful scenery with a lot of palm trees and right on the water. The pool has a waterfall. 2 nice tikis we used for the dance floor and one for the bar. Christy, Greg and the rest of the staff was super friendly and very helpful. There was nothing they couldn’t do for us. Definitely will come back before the next 50 years.” — Victor F., 5 stars

“We selected this resort based upon it’s positive reviews and we were happily-satisfied. We were greeted on our arrival by friendly staff and had a wonderful stay experience. During our drive to Florida, we asked if we could arrive a day earlier and were pleasantly-welcomed to. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended an additional day just to relax and enjoy the area. We’ll definitely return here on our next dive trip!” — arnie W., 5 stars

“This is the most charming, family friendly resort in the Keys. Although not new, the place is clean and well kept. Clancy, Kevin and Bernadine are so friendly and helpful, they make you feel very welcome. Pool is amazing and lots of space for sitting outside in the shade, location is wonderful, close to many restaurants and attractions. Will be back.” — donnaloumarcusky, 5 stars

"We selected this resort to stay while scuba diving here with our dive club. The people at this resort are incredible! They helped make our stay memorable. Our room was comfortable for a non-chain resort. The property and rooms, while somewhat dates are extremely well-kept and the staff here go out of their way to ensure their guests are well-cared for. The grounds here wonderful! A large swimming pool with a unique waterfall graces an open area with a ‘tiki’ bar"

"We would like to thank the staff of Coconut Cove Resort. Our stay was fantastic, and you folks helped improve our stay, and made it even more enjoyable. You folks were very friendly and helped us navigate our way around. What a beautiful resort!! I would encourage anyone looking for a beautiful resort with a fantastic staff that is extremely friendly, to review this resort to stay at. 5 stars to the gentleman that rakes the sand everyday, it looks great and inviting. I hope "Ebay" continues to get his morning milk, as I provided after breakfast each day. A GREAT EXPERIENCE!! Jay and DiAnn Indiana"

"The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this area and want that old-Florida feel that we are losing with these revamped resorts. Perfect little boat ramp, dockage and trailer parking. Loved the chickens, the pool, the grounds and the location. Hope to see you all again soon."
