Did have a problem in our original room and they moved us to another room right away.’ Candid 1-star flags include ‘Run down and overpriced. The resort needs a major remodel, and way overpriced. They need to put some effort into bringing it into the 21st century. The bar and restaurant were closed down, and the room was very dated and cheaply decorated’ and ‘I would NOT recommend this place. The bathroom was unacceptable and disgusting. Rusty shower head, rusty hinges, cracks and chips in the shower, plaster over a hole, rusty knobs, painted blue and red on knobs.’ Book only for value-first Keys visitors accepting the property’s condition and the closed on-site bar and restaurant.

“Had my 50th birthday party there last night. They were able to accommodate 50 of us without an issue. The place is perfect for any events. Beautiful scenery with a lot of palm trees and right on the water. The pool has a waterfall. 2 nice tikis we used for the dance floor and one for the bar. Christy, Greg and the rest of the staff was super friendly and very helpful. There was nothing they couldn’t do for us. Definitely will come back before the next 50 years.” — Victor F., 5 stars

“We selected this resort based upon it’s positive reviews and we were happily-satisfied. We were greeted on our arrival by friendly staff and had a wonderful stay experience. During our drive to Florida, we asked if we could arrive a day earlier and were pleasantly-welcomed to. “This is the most charming, family friendly resort in the Keys. Although not new, the place is clean and well kept. Clancy, Kevin and Bernadine are so friendly and helpful, they make you feel very welcome.
