Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Gainesvill
"The 4.4 Butler Plaza indoor-pool hotel south of UF campus, with 1,263 reviews and standout 4.6-4.7 subratings."
About The Hotel
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson is a 4.4-rated (1,263 reviews) southwest Butler Plaza indoor-pool hotel at 4015 SW 43rd Street — 10 minutes from UF’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and campus. Amenities include an indoor pool, free breakfast, fitness center, business center and kids-stay-free. Subratings run notably strong: 4.6 cleanliness, 4.7 location, 4.5 rooms, 4.6 service, 4.5 sleep quality, 4.4 value across 1,263 reviews — every subrating exceeds the direct BW competitor. Reviewers repeatedly call out named front-desk staff (Florie, Cynthia, Charles) for above-and-beyond service and pet-friendly welcomes. CANDID FLAGS: a 4-star noted 5 small pillows on a king bed as disappointing and mentioned the Sleep Inn as better value; a 2-star flagged the property as not meeting the standard of other Country Inn locations they’d stayed at. Not an in-room jacuzzi property — the appeal is Butler Plaza retail access, indoor pool and a stronger subrating profile than most Gainesville mid-market alternatives.
What Guests Are Saying
“This hotel was stop #2 for us on a 14 day road trip during the Christmas/NY holidays. We found the staff exceptional (our stay was Christmas Eve and Christmas night) and the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided had a bit of everything and a staff member there restocking as needed. For a $100/night hotel, the Country Inn & Suites Gainesville exceeded expectations” — TomandTraci, 5 stars
“Country Inn was very clean, workers were very professional. The rooms were surprisingly quiet and spacious. I liked the solid floors. Breakfast was good. I thought the beds were AWESOME. Bathrooms were a little smaller. They gave us waters which was nice. I would definitely come again. Little more expensive (probably not for the area) but I thought worth it.” — Anthony T., 5 stars
“Ample parking, calm and secure, Very good breakfast, staff excellent friendly and willing to help specially Florie and Cynthia they were so helpful… all the staff in front desk: Charles and all of the group…They make the difference of the stay…I recommend this place” — jbenejam, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Gainesvill.
"The location is very convenient, the staff was professional, the rooms were adequate size and had everything we needed, including the hair drye. (some hotels don't have one) The cleaning staff was super nice and friendly; that's refreshing. Their breakfast was a plus (waffles, eggs, the bacon was superb!, fruits, juice, cereal-really enjoyable choices) it was very lovely to have a lady watching over to take care of anything we needed at the breakfast area. She was very kind and friendly. I loved the fact that they had an open area with tea and coffee available basically the 24 hours, that was really smart. Thank you!! The beds were super comfortable although the a/c was a bit noisy and would make a dripping water sound. We still managed to fall asleep after a while. The rooms were clean and there was plenty of closet space. We're definitely going back there if we're in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you guys😇"

She provided us with three bags of breakfast items. but the best part was in the morning and we were about to leave. They had opened the breakfast area a half hour earlier so all the players could get their breakfast. that tells you a lot about a hotel and their service it’s fantastic. I will be staying here again."
