Best Western Gateway Grand
"The 4.4 northwest I-75 pool-and-breakfast hotel near Oaks Mall and Gainesville Regional Airport, with 1,637 reviews."
About The Hotel
Best Western Gateway Grand is a 4.4-rated (1,637 reviews) northwest I-75 corridor pool-and-free-breakfast hotel at 4200 NW 97th Blvd near Oaks Mall and the Gainesville Regional Airport. Amenities include a pool, free breakfast (omelette station), fitness center, and pet-friendly rooms with kids-stay-free. Subratings run 4.4 cleanliness, 4.5 location, 4.3 rooms, 4.5 service, 4.3 sleep quality, 4.3 value across 1,637 reviews. Reviewers repeatedly praise the decor, breakfast (including the omelette-made-to-order station), and the conference-hosting front desk (FAHCE conference has returned 5+ years). CANDID FLAGS: a 2-star flagged uncomfortable mattresses, AC musty smell, electric outlets that didn’t work, and carpet with pet smells; a 3-star flagged the pet-relief area as dirty and rarely maintained. Not an in-room jacuzzi property — the appeal is I-75 access, pool, and brand-hotel reliability for Gator game weekends.
What Guests Are Saying
“It’s the people who make this rating a five out of five. Amazing workers throughout the entire establishment. Rooms are standard and clean. The pool is well kept (not heated) but the outdoor hot tub makes up for it!). The breakfast is above average with the made to order omelette! But I come back to the staff. Friendly, accommodating, and hard working! They really make this hotel standout.” — Au4PRs, 5 stars
“We have chosen this property for our FAHCE Conference for the past five years and have not been disappointed. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have treated us with respect and met all of our needs. The hotel is close to multiple restaurants in the area and convenient to I-75.” — Karen K., 5 stars
“Excellent location. We had an event and the staff from planning to day of event was very helpful and very friendly. Will definitely recommend this hotel and event hall. Looks forward to doing another bird expo very soon.” — iandin0, 5 stars

View on Google"This hotel is CONSISTENTLY one of my most pleasant hotel stays. The staff is excellent: the greeting and information at the main desk is always polite and efficient, the hotel is always clean - rooms, hallways, and stairwells included, the breakfast is the BEST anywhere - including omelets made to order at the omelet station! I often drive cross country twice each for work and I can honestly say this is my favorite place to stay."

View on Google"Great hotel where we stayed for one night during our road trip from Miami to New Orleans. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The breakfast was great, with a good variety, and the outdoor warmed jacuzzi was a really nice bonus to enjoy in the morning/evening. Overall, it offers a very reasonable price for what is provided, making it excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again if passing through Gainesville."
