Gullwing Beach Resort
"The 4.7 south-end condo-style oceanfront tower with huge multi-room units and 728 reviews."
About The Hotel
Gullwing Beach Resort is a 4.7-rated (728 reviews) south-end condo-style oceanfront tower at 6620 Estero Boulevard on Fort Myers Beach’s quieter stretch toward Lovers Key. Amenities include a pool, direct beach access with chairs and umbrellas, bicycle rentals, and huge multi-room condo units with private oceanfront balconies, full kitchens and washer/dryer. Subratings are strong: 4.7 cleanliness, 4.7 location, 4.8 rooms and 4.6 sleep quality across 728 reviews. Value sits at 4.5 — competitive for a full condo. Recent 5-stars praise the enormous rooms, upper-floor ocean views and ‘huge lovely white sand beach’; multiple recent reviews flag ongoing construction next door (banging, drilling, sawing) as the island continues its post-Ian rebuild, plus a pool area ‘nice but a bit small.’ Not an in-room jacuzzi property — the appeal is condo-scale oceanfront rooms and the quieter south-end location.
What Guests Are Saying
“We were hesitant to book here because of the construction but decided to do it because it was located right on the beach. Yes, there is construction going on, yes you will hear banging, drilling and sawing outside your unit, like on the patio and even faintly at the beach. We did not hear anything inside the unit, we were in a beach facing unit on 9th floor. The condo was very nice and spacious, beautifully decorated and provided everything we needed. The views were stunning, and the beach was huge and had very little people on it for the entirety of our stay. We loved our stay and will definitely book again. The only negatives were obviously the construction, and the beds were super firm as well as the living room couches. I know they have to put durable furniture in rentals, but these were very uncomfortable although would not keep us from returning. Hopefully this helps anyone wondering how the place is during the construction.” — cinderella5272000, 5 stars
“We love this wonderful place and had been spent our summer holidays several times at GullWing. It‘s vacation from the first minute - really friendly and helpful stuff. Jessica gave us perfect tips of what we can do in Ft. Myers - we really enjoyed very much! One day we rent the free bikes for a trip to lovers key, which was great! The appt. was amazing, fully equipped, very clean with great service. We love the pool and hot tub, also the big grills and the unbelievable close location to the gulf.” — Andrea W., 5 stars
“This place is right on the beach, and what a beach it is! Huge lovely white sand beach! Beach chairs and umbrellas are available. The place we stayed was great! Very clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, and even laundry soap available! A nice child friendly pool in the back, not too deep. Lots of reconstruction along the street, they are hard at work rebuilding after the hurricane damage. Would highly recommend staying here!” — Deborah B., 5 stars

View on Google"Everything was clean and spacious. During our 2 night stay, they had no propane, so the pool and hot tub were not heated, and we could not use the barbecue grills. Also the rooms were freezing, even after we turned the air system completely off. The location is out of the way, and the options for dining are limited. No dining option onsite. One other thing is the distance from the resort to the gulf. At least a 5 minute walk over sand."

View on Google"Wonderful location! Conveniently located with numerous restaurants & shopping nearby. Completely stocked with everything you would need (except for groceries). Our only concerns were there was no door into the main bathroom, there needs to be signs advising lips in the tracks when you go outside on the balcony, the table on the balcony was FILTHY, & the sink water in the kitchen never even made it to lukewarm. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"
