About The Hotel

The Best Western Plus Yacht Harbor Inn is a 4-star pool hotel at 150 Marina Plaza on the Dunedin marina at the edge of historic downtown Dunedin. Rated 4.1 across 1,353 reviews with 4.4 cleanliness, 4.2 rooms, 4.7 location, 4.2 service, 4.2 sleep quality; value 4.0 is the weakest signal. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, free breakfast (fruit, waffles, biscuits and gravy per a 5-star guest), pet-friendly rooms, business center, free parking, free high-speed WiFi and children’s television networks. Walking distance to Main Street shops, restaurants, Dunedin Brewery (Florida’s oldest microbrewery) and the Pinellas Trail. TD Ballpark for Toronto Blue Jays spring training is a 15-minute walk south; Honeymoon Island State Park is a 10-minute drive west via the Dunedin Causeway. A 5-star recent guest wrote ‘Lovely hotel, fantastic location on the harbour, just wished we could have stayed longer… clean and comfortable with excellent amenities and a wonderful complimentary breakfast.’ Recent 2-star candid flags include ‘dirty chairs too gross to sit in and broken furniture in a room is unacceptable’ and ‘harbor view is in the distance looking past two parking lots first.’ Not a marketed in-room-jacuzzi property. Best for Blue Jays spring-training visitors, Honeymoon Island beach families, Pinellas Trail cyclists and snowbird weekly stays wanting a walkable-downtown-plus-marina base with candid expectations about the older property.

What Guests Are Saying

“My husband and I are having a condo in Dunedin renovated and needed a place to stay while we were in town taking care of things for the renovation. The only place we considered was the Best Western Plus and it did not disappoint. The room was lovely with two doors. One in the back overlooking the gulf and one in the front near parking and the pool. While the bathroom was a bit dated, the rest of the room was updated and comfortable. The room was very clean. Other people staying here were very friendly as was the staff. Breakfast was good. Sunset was amazing.” — Sue T., 5 stars

“What a pleasant experience. I called earlier to see if I could check in earlier, but no rooms were available yet. When I arrived for check-in, Pauline remembered the name and said “Oh yes, I spoke with you earlier on the phone” I was checked in quickly and courteously. The room was great and I had a nice view of the marina. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to San Diego!!” — Dan S., 5 stars

“Lovely hotel, fantastic location on the harbour, just wished we could have stayed longer. Clean and comfortable with excellent amenities and a wonderful complimentary breakfast serving fruit waffles biscuits and gravy, plus cereal pastries muffins bagels. Couldn’t ask for more really it was splendid. Staff were so attentive and pleasant. Will be back and highly recommend this hotel.” — stephybowen, 5 stars

Pros & Cons

Cons:

"We had a group of rooms for my mother's birthday and it was sensational! Rhonda arranged for everything and she is an absolute GEM. Really went out of her way to set up everything, and I mean everything, and was personally invested in making sure we were happy. This is exactly how a hotel is supposed to be run. The rooms were wonderful--charming, "Old Florida". They were on the water and we'd wake up in the morning an take our coffee out back to watch the pelicans, dolphins and manatees. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Dunedin, or Pinellas County for that matter."

"Great waterfront lodging at the head of downtown. Very walkable with easy access to the Pinellas Trail. The room was quite large and spacious. The staff was friendly and accommodating."

"Stayed here for a couple of days with family and had a great time. The rooms are spacious and bright with natural light. Shout out to Ely for making this stay extra special. Ely helped me out a few times with some mishaps during our stay. He is one of the friendliest and most genuine employee I interacted with while there."
