Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa
"The 3.8 largest north-end brand — 4.7 location but 3.4 value and 3.6 rooms, 1,766 reviews."
About The Hotel
Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa is a 3.8-rated (1,766 reviews) biggest Hilton brand hotel on the north end at 400 Mandalay Ave. Subratings: 4.7 location, 4.0 cleanliness, 3.6 rooms, 4.0 service and 3.4 value. Amenities include a Gulf-front pool, spa, bar/lounge, direct beach access, bicycle rental, babysitting and valet parking. Recent 5-stars specifically call out staff (Larry at the bar ‘PHENOMENAL,’ Cynthia in food and beverage ‘so kind,’ Aileen ‘Server of the Year’). CANDID FLAGS: 3.6 rooms and 3.4 value subratings — inconsistent room quality at brand-rack Gulf-front rates is a recurring traveler complaint. Solid location and staff mask room and value variance. A pool-and-beach Hilton rather than an in-room-jacuzzi property — the appeal is Hilton Honors loyalty and north-beach walkability to Pier 60.
What Guests Are Saying
“First visit to Clearwater Beach and we were absolutely blown away by this hotel and the staff! Having never been there, I based our booking on the good reviews I read and boy was I ever glad I picked this hotel! It’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s recently renovated; the property and rooms are spotlessly clean and beautiful! The private beach area is a really nice feature as the beach does get very busy on hot days. The pool is beautiful, there’s a zero-entry pool for little kids and a separate deeper pool - it’s nice to have 2 options. There’s shade if you want it and snacks and drinks are readily available. There are multiple restaurants and bars within the hotel itself so you really dont have to leave the property but if you do, the area within walking distance is loaded with a variety of delicious places to eat and drink. It’s safe, well-lit and easy to navigate. The one thing we really want to call out about this hotel is the staff. From the second we walked in to the minute we left, every single employee we met went above and beyond to be friendly, helpful, supportive and a wonderful Hilton ambassador! Some notables over our stay were: Dillon, Anthony and Jason at the pool bar, Nick at the Tiki lounge, Kaitlyn handing out amazing lemon scented cold towels at the pool, Beatrice with Housekeeping and Aileen, Sam and Heather in the lobby lounge/restaurant! Each of them made an impression on us and made our stay one we’ll never forget! We cant wait to come back again!” — Robin J., 5 stars
“We ventured into the restaurant for dinner from our rented condo. There were a total of 6 children and four adults in our party. Aileen our server was very attentive to our needs from the time we sat down. She was quick and efficient getting our drinks to us, made recommendations on menu items (two of which we ordered), she recommended the Steak and Crab Cakes. The appetizers came out quickly. The Crab cakes were totally amazing to start. All of the children in our party we treated as individuals and given the opportunity to order exactly what they wanted without any rebuttal from Aileen. She took everything with professionalism and amazing courtesy. As a prior server in upscale five star dining, Aileen is an amazing server. We wanted for nothing, plus she anticipated our needs without anyone in our party having to ask, which only happens with seasoned and well balanced servers, Aileen fits the bill in all of the above categories. We would love to have Aileen serve us again in the future, she made our sink g experience absolutely flawless. Aileen is a definite asset to the restaurant and should be responsible to train others. Absolutely nothing to complain about during our visit. While the food was good, the service provided by Aileen made the experience flawless. Aileen is definitely a keeper!” — Byron R., 5 stars
“As a single woman, Michael from security made me feel comfortable and safe. He is assertive, yet kind. After being here for a drunken 40th birthday celebration, I know he is protecting this property enough for me to want to bring my children and grandchildren back. He made my experience unique and memorable….. As, he also comes equipped with a strong, comedic personality. Thank you Hilton for employing such a gem.” — katrina, 5 stars

"Shoutout to Sarah at the front desk! She was absolutely amazing and made our stay so special. When we let her know our first room had a mildew smell, she quickly helped us switch rooms with no hassle at all. She also took the time to recommend great restaurants and fun things to do around the area, which we really appreciated. On top of everything, it was my husband’s birthday, and Sarah helped make the experience even more special and memorable. Because of her kindness and great customer service, our stay was the absolute best. Thank you, Sarah, for going above and beyond — Hilton is lucky to have you!"

The service was excellent, especially from a staff member named Dafny, I think that was her name, who was professional, warm, and consistently helpful throughout my stay. From check-in to check-out, she ensured everything went smoothly and was always available to assist when needed. The room was satisfactory, the hotel is well located, and the private beach is a great advantage. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend this hotel to others."

View on Google"This is a 3 star hotel located in a 5 star location. The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are breathtaking. So, if you are looking for a 5 star SPA experience, this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for 3 star hotel prices, this is not the hotel for you, you will be charged like a resort. But if you can enjoy a 5 star beach location and don’t mind a 3 star room, you will have a great time. Beach rentals are for the full day from 7am to 7pm. You can go in the morning, leave to have lunch and come back for the sunset. We think it was worth it $110 for a cabana and 2 chairs. Beach rental prices: -Full Beach Package is $251 -Beach Cabana $50 -Beach Umbrella $33 -Reclining Lounge Chair $29"
