About The Hotel

The Westin Reston Heights is a 4.1-rated (705 reviews) Westin at Reston Heights on Sunrise Valley Drive south of Reston Town Center. Amenities include a heated indoor pool and hot tub with a view (reviewers confirm this is a genuinely nice indoor pool-and-hot-tub setup rather than a shell amenity), a bar/lounge, patio, fitness center, pet-friendly rooms and free parking. Subratings hold up at 4.2-4.5 (cleanliness 4.5, sleep 4.5, rooms 4.4). Candid flags: a smoke-smell room with dismissive staff response, ripped-sheets report, and an alarming 2026 report of hotel management allowing an unauthorized guest to have access to a solo female traveler’s room. Front-desk agent Anisa is repeatedly praised. Read recent reviews carefully.

What Guests Are Saying

“The Westin Reston Heights hotel offers several benefits to consider during your stay in the area, including its peaceful atmosphere on weekends and ample parking options. I had the chance to stay here several years ago and remember the pool and jacuzzi section on the top floor, which was relaxing during my stay. I decided to return and found it worthwhile as a way to desensitize myself after a business trip and reconnect with nearby friends. I was fortunate to stay in one of their suites, which included a Peloton bike. The room was more than spacious, comfortable, and worth having if you want the convenience of exercising during your stay in the early mornings. I was able to revisit the pool area, but this time, it was a bit crowded with guests and children in and out of the jacuzzi. It was not as relaxing as my previous experience, but it was worth going back and using it at least once. The breakfast in the morning was substantial and well-stocked, offering a variety of options. Weekends tend to be a bit quieter, but I did love having this peace that was needed after a hectic week. I recommend this place, especially if you want to be in a quiet area while still being close to Washington, D.C., or Northern Virginia.” — Boris E., 5 stars

“Our family of four stayed here for a couple nights between our move from our apt to our new home nearby. It was a nice and memorable stay. The restaurant was good, plus lots of options nearby for delivery. Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. The pool is really nice - indoor and heated, plus a good sized hot tub. My kids spent 12 hours over the course of 3 days in the pool! The room we were upgraded to was huge - really nice to have with four people and two dogs! We will probably be back just for an overnight here and there throughout the winter to use the pool! Front desk was really nice and helpful, too. We even went on a little “adventure walk” around a nearby pond when they finally got bored of the pool.” — AnnaBonvoy, 5 stars

“I stay at The Westin Reston every month as my personal escape, and the main reason I keep coming back is Anisa. She is absolutely incredible. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine warmth create an experience that goes far beyond a typical hotel stay. Anisa always makes sure I’m comfortable, relaxed, and cared for. It’s rare to find someone in hospitality who truly connects with guests on such a personal level. Whether it’s remembering the small things or just offering a smile after a long day, she makes each stay feel special.” — Soone S., 5 stars

"The Westin consistently maintains the high standard of hotel service globally, offering luxurious accommodations with a modern touch. One thing i like to point out, is the $15 charges for parking. This area is well-organized business and residential area and finding convenient parking by the hotel is not a problem. I'm unsure about the rationale behind this enforcement, but I believe it's an unnecessary expense. As a frequent traveler, I generally prefer to look for fewer additional fees to simplify the explanation of itemized daily parking."

"Stayed here for a wedding arrived just after check in and room was ready (love that!). Room was large and clean. Great lighting in bathroom for makeup. We had hoped to get a cocktail at the bar before leaving for the wedding but it didn't open until 5 - on a Saturday. A little surprising. Great one night stay!"
