What Guests Are Saying
“The most wonderful staff…..every single one of them! I was onsite for 10 days so I really got to see and come to know the whole team. The front desk folks were just so crisp and professional….and they totally went above and beyond to make me and my family welcome. But i also really want to acknowledge the sweet sweet ladies down at breakfast…they brought back memories of how my grandmother took time to express her love in how she doted on you at meals…..and the engineer guys that were hustling with one problem after the other. All this in a totally booked long period so all these people were having to be constantly on the move…..nothing but smiles and warmth!” — SaintPeterMatt, 5 stars
“I had to fly to Norfolk for my brother’s funeral. It was a tragic experience to say goodbye to a family member. My stay at the Marriott helped me in so many ways. They found me a handicapped room, serviced breakfast every morning, and most importantly, I felt safe. Thank you!” — Mrs V., 5 stars
“I have been a Marriott member for years, and I wanted to make sure that my family and I would have a comfortable stay during our trip to Norfolk, Virginia, so I sought out the Marriott brand. I booked a one night stay at this hotel because of the close proximity to our destination. I booked the reservations one week in advance. We were scheduled to arrive in Virginia around 1 pm, so I requested an early check-in. I also checked-in via the app the night before our trip. There was a slight delay on our day of travel, so we didn’t arrive at the hotel until 2 pm. Upon arrival, I went to the front desk to see if we would be able to check in early as previously requested, but I was told that the room was not yet ready. The front desk representative did a pre-check in and said she would call me when the room was ready. Instead of waiting around in the lobby, we decided to go and take care of a few errands while we waited for the room to be ready. I never received a call. We returned to the hotel around 6:30 pm. The original rep that was supposed to call me had already left for the day. I informed the new rep that I never received a call. She apologized on behalf of her colleague and was keen to make up for the mishap. She was very professional and had great customer service. The hotel is clean both outside and inside and is maintained very well. Some noteworthy amenities are on-site parking via a parking deck directly in front of the hotel, an inside heated pool, a small store where you can purchase snacks and other items, and a hot complimentary breakfast. The heated inside pool was enjoyable. The pool is not very big, but it was adequate. Additionally, there was a great variety of items for the complimentary breakfast. The food was also decent. The highlight of our stay at this hotel was the room. I booked a suite. It was spacious, clean, and smelled fresh. There was a spa tub and a separate shower in the bathroom. I was very impressed by the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. It was soft and cuddly, but still firm. My room also had a wonderful view of the area. I loved the layout of the room. It allowed for quiet work, a social moment, and had a kitchenette. The next time I am in the area, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.” — Sparkles, 4 stars

What guests are saying about SpringHill Suites by Marriott Norfolk Old.
"It is a typical Springhill Suites. Nothing fancy, but the rooms have a living area, microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. The breakfast is decent with hot and cold choices. We liked the location because it is very close to family. Rooms facing the main road are noisy."
