“Ms Ashley at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. Our family traveled in from Louisiana and she checked us in our first night with genuine kindness and consideration. She provided extra blankets for our family and other guests without any hint of irritation and never tried to make excuses to justify something lacking in a guest’s room. Her bubbly and genuine personality made everyone feel that she was sincerely sorry for any inconvenience, but not to worry she would quickly make it right. I saw her the next morning when I came down for breakfast energetically greeting quests and answering questions with her same bubbly presence. We have been to several hotels where staff checks people in and gets them what they need but never makes anyone feel good and seems inconvenienced. This was never the case with Ms Ashley. Our family of four really appreciated the extra effort she gracefully puts forth and I hope others realize this is not always the case with hotel staff. She helped us in more ways than one and made sure we got a room when we truly needed it. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. Then we met Jamel, and his customer service was just as superb. He was professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. Both Matlyn and Jamel exceeded our expectations and made navigating the trauma of a fire more palatable. “The hotel did everything I was looking for. Check in was easy and fast with a competent gentleman at the front desk. The room was actually 2 rooms, with both a bedroom and a separate sitting/ work area in the front , both with large screen TVs and the latter with a couch and good sized chair as well as a desk. The bathroom was clean with a large shower. Most importantly,the HVAC worked well and was very quiet-no loud machinery sounds each time it turned on . The hotel was relatively full but our hallway was quiet. Even though we were close to the elevator we did not hear it in our room. Convenient to many restaurants, both national chain and local independents. Only drawback- no shuttle service provided to the airport (an 8 minute drive) Would definitely stay there again if in area.” — William S., 5 stars
