“Charm, charming and with side of Charm. As a Townie, we had heard wonderful things about Acorn Hill for Decades so recently when my sister and her husband and my adorable niece made a much-needed trip to the Burg, I decided to put them up at Acorn Hill. We honestly, didn’t know what to expect besides what we had heard that it was a great place. From the moment they checked in the staff at AH exceeded ALL expectations. It was nothing but good ole fashioned southern hospitality. The prices were exceptional, but the customer service left my family speechless. They went above and beyond to make sure that my sister and her family felt at home. My bro-in-law forgot shaving cream and my preoccupied but darlin niece Molly forgot her toothbrush, well the staff took care of that immediately. For part of their 4 day stay I had to work, but the team at AH was on the spot with recommending The Depot for lunch and they loved it. They also recommended stopping by Miss Joys so they could pick up her famous cinnabuns(the size of a small soccer ball) and some of her delicious ‘apple fritters. They loved the wrap around decks as we are having unseasonably warm weather. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable…and the breakfast was exceptional or so I was told. We had a great few days of quality family time and my sister has now stated that she is spoiled and will not stay anywhere else besides Acorn Hill when she visits Lynchburg! Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable stay for my family and going above and beyond to treat them like royalty! “I am delayed in writing this, just because of being busy since our trip there in December. All I can say is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I wanted a spa weekend for my daughters birthday, without having to get a loan, it was the best!! We were made to feel at home, everything was extremely clean, especially with all the guidelines for Covid in place, we felt safe, our room was very spacious, and comfortable, breakfast was delicious(and made to order, not like other places). Every single person there was so polite and nice, the owners themselves go out of their way also to make sure your stay is amazing! Our waitress, everyone welcomed you and made you feel at home. I worried Ginger so much before the trip with questions and changes, and she was great!! They made the weekend for my daughter so very special. I also highly recommend taking advantage of the Spa services also, so very relaxing, and everyone at the Spa also made you feel at home and so relaxed. I can’t wait until I can go back again. “We had the perfect family brunch at the acorn Hill Lodge! We were impressed with the links they went to to make sure things were clean and safe during these scary times! The staff wore masks as well which we appreciated very much! We called ahead because we had a special situation with one of our family members at high risk and they were super accommodating! They seated us outside away from the rest of the guests and cleaned the chairs and table twice. They were friendly, gracious and served with joy! We will be coming here often! The food was absolutely delicious! And a bonus, they had gluten-free toast! Three of us in the group had allergies and we had no problems whatsoever as the chef had taken the necessary precautions.
