What Guests Are Saying
“This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in, and there have been quite a few. They have some rooms which have a private bedroom set off from the sitting area, and we were lucky to acquire one for our stay. The personnel whom we met were very accommodating. Keep in mind that they do have a restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner, but at this hotel breakfast is not free, but you have a choice of a breakfast buffet or cooked to order breakfast for a fee.” — gramnan, 5 stars
“Stayed here for a short stay . But checked in super early . Room was neat and clean. Located in a place with lots of restaurants and shopping . Everyone I encountered was very polite . Would stay at this property again. The property is undergoing construction but there was no noise or disruption from it” — Nate W., 5 stars
“Attended a conference in the VB region and opted to book this HGI property, solely for price. I will not opt to do so again. Upon entering the lobby, it smells nice and ‘pumpkiny’, the smell however rapidly dissipated upon entering both the elevator and hallways. The front desk clerk Megihan (something like that) warmly welcomed all guests. Nothing was mentioned about a fee for breakfast (mind you she was asked about the hours it started). That is 0600, by the way. ANYTHING you grab from the breakfast nook a fee is charged - so I left the banana and cereal there, and cancelled the order of eggs with bacon. There is no ice in the hotel - the machine on floor 2, is inoperable so you must get the front desk to assist. The elevators, their buttons are quite overused. Inside the room, the TV is squared shape, thick, and old - (with DirectTV). The microwave was rather tiny and upon opening it, we noticed it to be DIRTY. The AC unit control flap was broken. The temp outside was cold due to a snow storm approaching VB area, the hallways in this HGI were quite cold, almost like the AC was on. Typically, I grab a parking spot on the side near a side door - but this property did NOT have exterior cameras near those entrances or parking lot - just “signage” park at your own risk. This HGI, sits in back of another hotel and right by the Coast Guard Exchange (CGX). The bed, slept nicely and the water gets VERY hot, so be careful. Again, I would not return to this location irrespective of the price being offered.” — pky_pook, 3 stars

View on Google"Stayed here a few nights ago and it was a great experience. I looked at the reviews and still decided to judge the place by its own colors. Great food and service even though there are a few renovations going on. I was greeted by Bryant, the night auditor more than anyone because of my hours, and it was a very genuine feel to it. He saw me around 11:30ish and saw me at 6:45 heading out and every time it was the same pleasurable, professional, and personable encounter. I value that in my stays no matter where I am. If I am back here in the future, I will definitely stay in this hotel again, no matter what people are saying."
