About The Hotel
The Super 8 by Wyndham Bedford on Sword Beach Lane is Bedford’s single hot-tub-search-relevant hotel — a basic Wyndham value stay with free breakfast, free parking, free WiFi and pet-friendly rooms just off US-460, minutes from the National D-Day Memorial and downtown Bedford. Subratings run 3.4–3.9 (cleanliness 3.5, location 3.9, value 3.6) and recent reviews are candid: value travelers praise the friendly staff and $62-$68 price, others flag thin walls (cheap construction, no elevator, neighbor phone alarms audible), housekeeping issues, and dated furnishings. “We stayed one night at the Super 8 in Bedford while visiting Peaks of Otter with our little girl and dog. Room was pretty nice and clean and enough room for us to setup a crib and dog bed. Decent breakfast in the morning with waffles and cold items. Location is convenient, close to downtown Bedford and about 20 minutes from Peaks of Otter. Not much of a view from the room, but there is a nice view of the peaks from the parking lot.” — Justin P., 4 stars
