What Guests Are Saying
“My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at AKA Alexandria a few times over the last couple years and have been treated so well every single time that we actually wonder what we’ve done to deserve such wonderful experiences. Had it happened once or twice, I’d probably say we just got lucky, but when it’s the same every visit, and you see it happen with other guests, you realize that this is a hotel fully staffed with folks that must take extreme pride in delivering first class customer service to all. They have a unique ability of making each guest feel important and special, and Henok, one of the valets, is a perfect example of those values. Every interaction with Henok leaves you with a smile. On our most recent visit, we decided that we’d like to extend our stay for an extra day. Unfortunately, the room type we were in was sold out for that night, as was most of the rest of the hotel. But that did not deter Isaiah and Marvin at the front desk, who went way above and beyond what one would reasonably expect to figure out a way to accomodate us for that extra night and to help us move to another room. I probably should also mention that the rooms are wonderful, the lounge is great, and in my opinion the location is absolutely perfect - a beautiful, quaint street at the north end of Old Town that is walking distance from everything there is to see and do in Old Town, but also close enough to DC that it works great for that as well, with lots of transportation options to get over to DC, including an awesome water taxi!” — Spamy95, 5 stars
“Fabulous stay at the Hotel AKA Alexandria! Currently my wife and I are on an extended road trip, which we had great fun in planning. While the internet was our go-to research tool, I also called the properties directly to get a human connection. And without a doubt, Isaiah, the front desk manager at the AKA Alexandria, was the most professional, engaging and yes, fun! A month later, upon our arrival, Isaiah and the whole AKA team did not disappoint. From a prearrival call with Irada to check on our room, to our welcome by Tesfaye who helped us with our luggage and dog, my wife and I felt beyond welcome. What was really special, as I approached front desk, Isaiah heard my voice, looked up and welcomed me by name. You can’t teach that! Finally, as a former executive, I recognize what it takes to foster the positive culture that we saw and felt at the AKA Alexandria… bravo!” — John C., 5 stars
“What an amazing find for an exceptionally good price. Rentable ebikes, delicious cafe, movie room, art-museum-like feel. I stayed in a room that had a view of their Zen garden- it’s fabulous. Clean and comfortable, I will always stay here when I come to DC. Rented an e-bike and used the bike path that takes me all the way to the White House. Staff is friendly and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Highly recommended!” — Taojessy, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Hotel AKA Alexandria.
"I had an absolutely outstanding stay at the AKA Hotel in Alexandria, VA. From the moment I checked in, the service was exceptional. Nigel went above and beyond throughout the weekend to make sure I had everything I needed. He set the tone for a five-star experience. Isiah and Marvin were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home every time I walked through the lobby. The hotel itself has a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere, everything was spotless, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. It’s also in a great location, making it both convenient and relaxing. One of the highlights of my stay was the private theatre, where I was able to screen the baseball game. Overall, my stay couldn’t have been better. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending AKA Alexandria to anyone looking for a top-notch stay with an exceptional team."

The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable ! I especially want to recognize Isaiah Frazier, the front desk manager. He was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, and made sure everything about our stay went smoothly from beginning to end. His hospitality truly stood out and made us feel genuinely cared for. It’s rare to come across service like this, and it made a big difference in our overall experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel."

View on Google"I will start with this, Marvin and Isaiah are two of the most authentic individuals I have ever met. Their goal was to make sure my wife and I had a memorable time for this quick little staycation and in no way, shape, or form did they disappoint. From the initial check in I felt I had made the right decision in booking this place. The ambiance in this place was amazing and the room I had for the weekend was perfect. From the lunch recommendation to the dinner at the hotel, there were no corners cut and they couldn’t miss. When I say Marvin and Isaiah are the epitome of customer service that’s exactly what I mean. They made sure my weekend was peaceful and relaxing and my wife and I didn’t want for anything. Honestly speaking, I have never had an experience at a hotel that made me feel this appreciative EVER, and we have travelled. LOL I can’t recommend this place enough and upon my checkout, I advised that we would be back very soon."
