What Guests Are Saying

“I called this hotel before commuting into the Dayton International Airport to confirm that they provided transportation to and from the airport. They said they did. When I arrived at the airport and called them, they said that they could not get ahold of their driver to come pick me up. It was a $15.95 Uber ride to the hotel. They did not offer reimbursement. The room was okay, about what I expected for a Clarion Inn. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. Location is good for proximity to a park with hiking/running/biking trails, restaurants, and grocery store. I went for a run before checking out and needed a shower. The shower provided a trickle of water. I ended up turning on the tub faucet and laying on the tub floor to rinse my hair out. It was far from ideal. I requested a refund for 50% of cost of my stay at checkout as the main purpose one usually stays at a hotel is for a comfortable bed and a warm shower. I did not get the latter. The front desk attendant told me she did not have the authority to make that decision and directed me to email a video of the showerhead’s performance to the hotel manager and gave me an email address. I did this while standing there. I followed up 48 hours later after receiving no response. I have attempted to call this hotel numerous times since this stay and no one answers the phone. I contacted corporate Choice Hotels and they apologized for this franchise owners lack of attention by giving me 8000 points to use toward a stay at one of their other hotels. Most hotels in this area require 12-20,000 points for a free nights stay. A month has passed with no response from this hotel. The morning I left, the hotel driver was there. He was a kind, older gentleman. He told me that they never called him the day before to come get me. He insisted I sit in the front seat of the van as it had an airbag and he wanted me to be safe. He would not accept a tip for handling my bags. He was the highlight of my stay. Good conversation and sense of humor.” — Babyruth6998, 3 stars

“Stayed 2 nights in May on a trip in Ohio. An older hotel. Saw workers fixing lobby the days we were there so looks to be under construction. Rooms had enough sockets. Not sure if related to our stay or more global. There was a shortage of towels and hotel worker could not provide enough towels for each person in party for both nights initially. Worker had to bring the towels to the room maybe 1 hour later after we told them. No orange juice for breakfast (machine out). Breakfast - waffles, cereal, apples, some eggs, toast Have lemonade in lobby.” — jeff77664, 3 stars

“Quality Inn Dayton Airport. 10 Rockridge Rd, Englewood Ohio. The location is very convenient just off of I 70 and Main Street in Englewood Ohio. That is where the “pro’s” end with this review. Upon check in, it took the receptionist almost 15 minutes to find our reservation and get us our room keys. The main entry is nice and is well represented in the photos of the location on the website. The rest of the photos on the website are misleading. The main hall carpet is dirty and smells with a strong odor of carpet cleaner throughout the hallway. The rooms are dark and well used. not the bright, clean rooms depicted on the website. The room had a strong musty smell upon entry that only became better as you became nose blind…leave the room and return and it hits you like a brick when you enter. The bathroom floor was extremely dirty, (first and second photo); The bathroom fan was inoperable and did not even have a switch to turn it on (third photo) the tub was also dirty, chipped, and stained (fourth photo). The overall bathroom was dark and misrepresented by the bright clean photo on the website (fifth photo). The room is dark and not nearly what was represented by the photos on the website (sixth photo). Finally, the next few photos are of the curtains and the window. This just goes to show how well the rooms are maintained. In the morning breakfast was not nearly what you would expect from a Quality Inn. There was hardly any food, one warmer was broken so no meats, only a small pan of eggs that was nearly empty. There were a couple pieces of bread but no pastries available, we decided to go to a local restaurant rather than deal with the obvious lack of care given to customer satisfaction at the free “breakfast” offered here. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head, and cleanliness and service do not matter to you, or if it is the only place left and its 3:00 in the AM and you just need to sleep, this place will do the job, otherwise I suggest you look elsewhere.” — Stacy M., 1 star

"I love the customer service. She has the best hair in the world. She’s always smiling and she never says a word when it comes to anything negative even though I know she see some funny things."
