Ramada by Wyndham Columbus North
"3.3-rated lowest-cost freeway hotel off I-270 north; read recent reviews before booking due to candid maintenance feedback."
About The Hotel
The Ramada by Wyndham Columbus North (3.3 rating, 1,129 reviews) off I-270 Exit 27 is the lowest-cost Columbus hotel, offering free breakfast, free parking, an indoor pool, and basic fitness center. Its subratings hover around 3.4–3.8, with cleanliness (3.4) and rooms (3.4) being the weakest points. Candid reviews are split: some guests praise fluffy pillows, cleanliness in renovated upper-floor rooms, and friendly front-desk staff; others report smelly rooms, noisy AC, old carpet, noisy hallways, and the need for a cash deposit. The property appears to have renovated second-floor rooms vs. worn first-floor carpet, creating inconsistency. Required cash deposits appear in reviews. It’s a pragmatic outerbelt base for the budget-conscious, but requires careful selection of recent feedback and realistic expectations — this is a minimum-cost overnight, not a leisure or hot-tub stay.
What Guests Are Saying
“The pillows were fluffy. The beds were very comfortable just right. The place was extremely clean great service. The place is very nice. The hallways are clean. The front clean looks like everything’s new. A nice breakfast. And for the money man you can’t beat this place. And the area is not bad. There is a police benevolent association huge place across the street. We found everything to be very nice. We stay here every time we go to Columbus” — Darren W., 5 stars
“Nice place that is not as bad as recent reviews suggest. I stayed in one of the 2nd floor rooms which are renovated with carpeted rooms and nicer than the 1st floor rooms which have icky wood floors. The room was clean with no funny smells or stains anywhere. WiFi is pretty fast around 80 Mbps so you enjoy your internet and streaming media. Front desk clerk was friendly. Plenty of parking. The only downside is that they only offer rooms with two queen beds and I preferred a king bed. Hotel is located close to the Columbus beltway. There is a large mall and shopping complex nearby on Polaris Parkway, and the famous Apple Easton Town Center is also close.” — Bloviating-Belzek, 4 stars
“Needs lots if improvements. The first room was smelly and had a very noisy AC unit. It also had old carpet. The second that we moved to was much better, no carpet and AC unit was quite. However hallways were noisy.” — JOYCE P., 3 stars
